Time ticked by, little by little.
Before anyone knew it, half an hour had passed.
Throughout those thirty minutes, Sylvia and Shokuhou Misaki continued talking.
They neither clashed nor became overly agitated, instead speaking with unprecedentedly serious expressions.
That conversation lasted a full half hour.
One could imagine just how important the topic they were discussing was.
Fang Li, meanwhile, suffered through the entire half hour. As time passed, he displayed an agitation unlike anything he had shown before.
All he could do was fold his arms and stare in Sylvia and Shokuhou Misaki's direction. He looked calm on the surface, but his foot had tapped the ground countless times, while the fingers on his arms fidgeted restlessly, his entire body radiating anxiety.
Even Misaka Mikoto, who stood beside him with her arms folded as well, grew impatient.
"Hey, could you calm down a little?" Misaka Mikoto said irritably. "Aren't you always so composed? What's with you now? You look exactly like some idiot father waiting for his child to be born."
Come to think of it, Fang Li really was not much different from that.
Of course, that comparison was a little too dangerous, so Fang Li would rather not accept it.
