The person who appeared at just the right moment was Horikita Gaku.
Like Fang Li, Horikita Gaku was not dressed in casual clothes. He wore his summer uniform as he slowly approached from the direction of the third-year dormitories.
Tachibana Akane followed close behind him, also in uniform and holding a folder in her arms. For some reason, she shot Fang Li a discreet glare.

However, Horikita Gaku did not speak to Fang Li immediately. Instead, he swept his gaze over the stiff-faced Horikita Suzune and the astonished Kushida Kikyo before speaking calmly.
"I did not hear that you would be traveling with others."
As though ignoring Horikita Suzune and Kushida Kikyo entirely, Horikita Gaku said this to Fang Li.
Fang Li likewise ignored Tachibana Akane glaring at him from behind Horikita Gaku and replied just as casually.
"I did not hear that you would be bringing someone along either."
Before Horikita Gaku could react to that, Tachibana Akane had already stepped forward.
"I am not just someone else!" Tachibana Akane said to Fang Li with inexplicable hostility. "Since the president has important matters to attend to, of course I have to stay by his side!"
"Important matters?" Fang Li raised an eyebrow and said something shocking as though it were nothing. "We only agreed to have a meal together. Does that count as important?"
The entire group was stunned.

Kushida Kikyo looked utterly taken aback.
