The pleasant dinner came to an end after about half an hour.
Afterward, reminded by Tachibana Akane, Horikita Gaku rose from his seat.
"I still have work to do, so I'll be leaving first. You can contact me anytime."
With that, Horikita Gaku placed a slip of paper with a phone number written on it before Fang Li, then left the restaurant together with Tachibana Akane, who was glaring at Fang Li.
Only Fang Li, Horikita Suzune, and Kushida Kikyo remained seated there.
"Phew..."
It was not until Horikita Gaku had left and disappeared from sight that Horikita Suzune seemed both relieved and deeply disappointed.
This girl, who had always carried herself with such authority, had been reduced to barely daring to breathe in front of her own brother. It was quite eye-opening.
Still, it was not hard to understand.
Horikita Suzune had come to this school in order to follow in the footsteps of her highly capable brother, whom she admired deeply.
Now that she had been able to sit down and eat face-to-face with her brother, it should have been something worth celebrating for Horikita Suzune, right?
Yet Horikita Suzune could not bring herself to be happy.
After all, from beginning to end, Horikita Gaku had not so much as looked directly at Horikita Suzune, let alone spoken a single word to her. He had treated her as coldly as a stranger, not at all like his own younger sister.
That was simply Horikita Gaku's personality.
Fang Li had noticed that although Horikita Gaku had neither spoken to Horikita Suzune nor looked at her even once, his attention had subtly remained fixed on her.
Clearly, Horikita Gaku was not truly ignoring Horikita Suzune. It was probably just his personality, or perhaps he did not want others to know
