"Is it over?"
On the rooftop of a building some distance away from Tokyo Sky Tree, a tall, burly figure gazed at the iron tower through the curtain of rain. As though she had seen the battle that had just concluded atop it, she spoke in a hoarse voice.
At first glance, the tall, burly figure appeared to be a man. On closer inspection, however, she was a woman.
And a rather peculiar woman at that.
She wore an African-style garment woven from interlacing red, yellow, and green cloth, dressed like a primitive tribeswoman.
A family crest was emblazoned on the fabric.
She carried a massive iron staff over one shoulder.
A pair of horns like those of a demon rose from her head.
The tall, burly woman stood at the edge of the rooftop. After a while, she turned around, dropped to one knee before a petite figure beside her, and spoke with utmost respect.
"The battle appears to be over. It seems the victor was not that vampire, but the man opposing her, Lady Bami."
The one the burly African-styled woman knelt before was Bami, the Oni girl who had attended the declaration-of-war meeting and whom Fang Li had considered the only one worth watching.
At that moment, Bami was staring in the direction of Sky Tree with her round eyes wide open. With her head tilted and a finger in her mouth, she looked delighted.
"Bami... was right."
In a muffled, nasal voice, Bami spoke with great delight.
"That person... is strong."
"Bami... likes strong people."
She seemed genuinely happy as she said so.
As the burly woman watched Bami, the third person present raised her head.
She was a girl of around twelve, with a bored expression, long straight silver hair, and a lovely broad-brimmed hat
