The Promise from That Time

Perhaps Aria had no idea that during the day, her great-grandfather had happened to be here and told her the very same thing.

Aria merely sat there, swinging her little feet as she spoke to Fang Li without looking back.

"Come over here too. Sit here."

As she said that, Aria patted the spot beside her.

Fang Li said nothing in response. He lifted his feet, walked over, and sat down beside Aria.

The evening breeze swept over them once more, brushing past the two partners sitting atop the palace beneath the starry sky.

At that moment, neither Fang Li nor Aria looked at the other. They simply raised their heads to gaze at the stars overhead, silently in perfect understanding, as though admiring the moon.

The events of the day seemed to have completely vanished from both of their memories.

Thus, Fang Li did not mention what had happened during the day. Instead, he spoke.

"Shirayuki already told me. You're planning to go to St. Gala Shrine with her, right?"

Hearing that, Aria said nothing and gently raised one hand.

"Zing..."

A faint crimson glow suddenly radiated from Aria's hand.

"This is..."

Fang Li could not help but freeze.

And just as Fang Li stood stunned, an abnormal phenomenon suddenly occurred.

"Pop..."

With a soft burst, the crimson light emanating from Aria's hand exploded without warning and vanished like scattering sparks.

Seeing this, Fang Li understood.

"Has the power of the Scarlet Gold gone out of control?"

Though that was not quite right.

More accurately, Aria simply could not control the power of the Scarlet Gold at all.

"It's called the Scarlet God, right?" Aria stared at her hand as she spoke. "According to Shirayuki, the Scarlet God inside me seems to have been eliminated, leaving the Scarlet Gold
