Just as it had been when they entered the city that morning, squads of guards still patrolled every street and alley in the Royal Capital. Wanted posters for the Black Knight were plastered everywhere, creating an atmosphere of strict vigilance.

Even so, the residents continued with their daily lives, paying no heed to the guard squads passing through the streets from time to time. They seemed remarkably unconcerned.

According to Kureia, this state of affairs had apparently continued for several months.

If so, it was only natural that people had grown used to it by now.

Amid the bustling streets, two people blended into the crowd, holding hands as they walked onward.
