The difficulty of the quests posted at the Adventurer's Guild in the Royal Capital truly far exceeded anything found in a beginner adventurer town like Axel.
In Axel, a quest to subjugate a One-Hit Bear could already be considered highly difficult.
Yet in the Adventurer's Guild of the Royal Capital, One-Hit Bear subjugation quests were everywhere.
As for the genuinely difficult quests, at least among subjugation quests, they were on this scale.
"Subjugation of One-Hit Bears: Due to an attack by the Demon Lord's Army, a herd of One-Hit Bears has been driven from its territory and is wreaking havoc in the outskirts. Drive away the bears: reward of five million Eris. Subjugate the herd: reward of thirty million Eris."
That was right.
Although the targets were still One-Hit Bears, this quest called for the subjugation of an entire herd, not a single One-Hit Bear.
One-Hit Bears were already fairly high-level monsters. Only top-class adventurers above level thirty could reliably subjugate them. Otherwise, they would need to form a fairly large adventurer party, with vanguards, rearguards, support, and healers all accounted for.
As for a herd of One-Hit Bears, even a super first-rate adventurer at level fifty would have to treat them cautiously, wouldn't they?
Besides that, the Adventurer's Guild in the Royal Capital had many other kinds of high-difficulty quests posted.
For example, infiltrating a Demon Lord's Army camp to gather intelligence.
For example, subjugating ultra-high-level monsters that had caused immense harm to human territory and even had bounties placed on them.
Or entering ruins or dungeons that could be called hell itself and retrieving a designated item while high-level monsters infested every corner.
One could tell how difficult these quests were with only a cursory glance.
Even those modern Hero candidates who had received cheat abilities would probably
