"Drip... drip... patter..."
The steady rain, accompanied by gusts of damp wind, swept into the crude shelter, stirring flickering sparks from the already-extinguished campfire.
Is it raining? Chiba's face was lightly touched by the chill and moisture of the breeze. He slowly opened his eyes, frowned slightly, and gradually sat up from beneath layers of blankets. The soft patter of rain by his ears also became clearer.
Morning? Seeing the gray scene beyond the window, which was clearly daylight, he frowned faintly.
Sigh...
As expected, unlike her, Yu Ze still needed some time!
With a quiet sigh in his heart, Chiba could not help recalling how he had taught Yu Ze Chakra the previous night.
The results had not been as good as he had imagined.
Although Yu Ze's comprehension was exceptional and he had immediately understood the composition of Chakra and the essence of meditation, actually putting it into practice—achieving that state of "stillness"—proved quite difficult.
After several attempts, Chiba realized that his expectations had been too high. Judging from Yu Ze's performance yesterday, it would probably take another half month, or even longer, before Yu Ze could truly achieve "stillness" and begin extracting spiritual energy.
That was the standard amount of time for someone relatively quick to cross the threshold into Chakra, and it was also how long Chiba himself had taken to enter a state of "stillness" when he first trained Chakra.
In other words, Chiba had estimated the time too optimistically because of his past experience. Although Yu Ze possessed a special body, something like meditation seemed unaffected even by bloodline limits or special constitutions. In this regard, Yu Ze was merely one ordinary person among many.
Just like him, merely one ordinary person among many.
"I was too hasty..."
Chiba could not help sighing as
