Chiba glanced back at the empty camp and slowly let out a breath. At last, the weight in his heart truly settled.

The rain had stopped around midnight yesterday, and by early this morning, the muddy streams around them had completely drained away. Only a field of mud remained outside the camp. Though the sky was still overcast and the mud would not improve over the next few days, such conditions were nothing to ninja. Work could still begin as planned.

Early this morning, Chiba had gathered everyone for the first time in what felt like ages and assigned the entire series of plans. With Kakashi and more than a dozen teachers helping, the three hundred-plus people had been divided into reasonable teams, each with clearly assigned tasks. The work he needed to do had been completed with surprising ease.

Now, he was extremely glad that, on the second day, he had somehow decided to write down all those detailed plans. After they had been distributed, copied, and studied yesterday, he barely needed to think about anything now. He only had to issue orders and objectives. From here on, they could simply follow what was written in the document Kakashi and Hirohiko had called an instruction manual.

Even the teachers, Kakashi, and Hirohiko had seen their workloads lightened considerably. They could devote much more energy to coordination, command, and safety-related work. It could be said that the three days of torrential rain had not been entirely bad.

At least, at this moment, Chiba was somewhat grateful for those three days of rain.
