"Yukina, Yukina? Are you still not up? What's going on with the table? Did someone come over?"
Under the bright sunlight, amid the chirping of birds, Kushina's voice suddenly rang out within the Japanese-style wooden house.
Yet the words that usually received a quick response got none this time.
"Strange... Could she be out?"
Without an answer, Kushina glanced at the low table, half of which was covered in dishes that clearly looked delicious, and frowned.
Then, unable to help herself, she walked to the stairs and looked upward.
"Yukina? Yukina?"
After peering up for a moment, she called out again.
Still, there was no response.
"This doesn't look like something happened. There are no signs of a fight, everything that should be here is here, and there's no possibility of an intrusion. What's going on?"
With no response, Kushina could not help looking back at the low table. After analyzing the situation, she ruled out the possibility that something had happened to Yukina. The hidden guards outside were still there, and they had even changed shifts. With so many eyes watching, no one could have abducted Yukina or fought here without being noticed. And if they had been noticed, this place would not be so quiet and peaceful right now.
Besides, although Yukina could not see, that did not mean she was a girl at anyone's mercy. Her senses were still exceptionally sharp, especially her hearing and sense of smell. There was no way she could be taken out without a sound.
The possibility of an accident was practically zero.
"Then, did she oversleep? She's been exhausted these past few days too."
Then she thought of another possibility. Since nothing had happened, the only reason Yukina would not respond was that she had overslept.
"I should go check."
