"It worked. It's been locked down. The Sealing Jutsu is taking effect."
With a faint tremble in his hands, Chiba slowly withdrew them from Yukina's forehead and asked, "How is it? Can you see now?"
At that moment, Yukina slowly opened her eyes. Hearing this, she shook her head.
"I still can't see."
By now, both of them had calmed down. After all, they were both commanders in their own right. It was impossible for them to be overly or long affected by emotions detrimental to composure. If they could be affected for too long, then they were unqualified to be commanders. Any emotion that clouded one's judgment could cause errors, great or small. If one could not regulate one's emotions, then one had no business being a commander.
Even though darkness still filled Yukina's vision and she could see nothing, she was not affected by disappointment. Instead, she said calmly.
"Mm. Then I'll examine you over the next few days. Now that the Caged Bird Seal has been sealed away, that factor no longer exists. Your eyes can be treated through normal means."
Chiba was also optimistic about this and immediately said so.
The so-called "irremovable Caged Bird Seal" had at least been sealed away now, and they had succeeded on the first try. That was already an excellent outcome. Chiba also understood that he could not rush things. After all, the exact cause of Yukina's blindness had yet to be determined. This would take time.
More importantly, there was the matter of Yukina's unfair treatment by the Hyuga Clan. He still needed to sort through his thoughts. Too many things had happened since he came up with his previous plan, and some parts needed to be recalled and reworked.
There would be plenty of time to deal with
