Sleep now? Sleep, my ass!
Chiba, who had crawled under the desk and closed his eyes to sleep, suddenly snapped them open and scrambled upright, nearly banging his head against the underside of the desk.
There was still something to do tonight! Besides, what time was it? Seven? Eight? There were still several hours to use! With that, Chiba crawled out from beneath the desk and sat back down in his chair.
"Weren't you going to sleep?"
This movement quickly caught Kakashi's attention, earning him that indifferent remark.
"Yeah, did you forget something?"
At the same time, Yukina's voice followed.
"Cough!"
Chiba coughed awkwardly. He had just loudly declared that he was going to sleep, only to obediently crawl back out less than ten seconds later. It was awkward—especially awkward.

Honestly, they had found it strange earlier. It had not been long since dinner, yet this guy had said he was going to sleep. At first, they thought something important was happening tomorrow, or that he had received some important mission from the Hokage and needed to wake up early, which was why he was turning in so soon.
After all, he was usually the last one to go to bed.
