In the emergency ward, one item after another was slowly placed on the only table, laid out before Minato Namikaze.
"These are all the things in Chiba's backpack?"
Looking at the items on the table, Minato Namikaze gradually frowned and asked.
"Yes."
Hirohiko, who was pulling items from the battered large backpack, nodded and said, "These are all of Chiba's personal belongings. Other than that, we didn't find anything extra, including in the forest where he was discovered."
"I see..."
Hearing this, Minato Namikaze nodded, his gaze falling on those items.
Several scrolls, a few remaining Ration Balls, some dried provisions, and a Ninja Tool Pouch containing standard ninja tools—Exploding Tags, Smoke Bombs, and the like. There were very few of them left.
"These scrolls?"
After settling his gaze on them, Minato Namikaze instinctively picked up one of the scrolls and looked toward Yukina.
"They're all ninjutsu scrolls. They have no practical significance and contain no intelligence. Nothing Chiba left behind has any information. The only thing we know is the last message Chiba sent us—that he was going to infiltrate Amegakure and might not send any news for two months. That was his message to reassure us."
Yukina shook her head and sighed.
They had already examined these things. After confirming that Chiba's life was not in danger and that he merely needed time to wake from his coma, they had wanted to know why he had been so badly injured and why he had ended up in the western forest.
They had gone through all of Chiba's belongings, inspecting every item.
Yet none of them contained any useful information.
