Boom!
There was no suspense, no room for resistance. The two massive water dragons bit down at once, crushing the gigantic scattered mass of water and the black stone sphere already covered in cracks. In an instant, the sound of immense torrents colliding spread outward like rolling thunder.
Bang!
The next second, amid a tremendous explosion, the two colliding water dragons shattered from the impact. At the point where they had bitten into each other, water arrows rebounded under the enormous force and shot out with sharp bursts. Like steel, they pierced the lake surface in an instant, bouncing between the thin walls of water.
In a flash, fierce winds rose from nowhere. With a howling roar, they swept the spreading white mist and the impossibly thin spinning columns of water, now falling without control, across the sky.
For a time, craters dotted the water's surface, while wind and rain danced wildly through the air.
Even the sky where the fireballs and dragon-headed flames had vanished seemed to darken.
Hiss!
At that instant, the water blasted back from the dragon heads' biting collision suddenly halted, as if time itself had stopped. Water droplets and spray hung frozen in midair.
Clap!
Then, as though someone had flicked time's switch, all the frozen water abruptly converged in the direction it had come from. Like a recording being rewound, the splashes and droplets within half a meter of where the dragon heads had collided flowed backward in an instant. With the sound of hands coming together, a massive water sphere three meters in diameter formed in reverse, enclosing black rock fragments of varying sizes as it hung over the lake!
Damn it!
