"What a disappointment. Konoha's Genin aren't much after all."
Kin gently swept her smooth hair behind her head, removed the forehead protector bearing the eighth-note symbol of her ninja village, and looked at her teammate Zaku, whose chest bore three vertically written characters meaning "death" and who wore a disdainful smile. Then she looked at Dosu, seated on the sofa with his eyes closed, his slightly hunched back, his right eye and head wrapped in bandages so that only his left eye was exposed, and waist-length spiky hair. Finally, she glanced at the bandaged teammate hiding in the corner, whose body trembled from time to time, his entire body wrapped in bandages save for his eyes. A similarly contemptuous expression flickered across her lips as she broke the silence.
"Hmph!"
Zaku's smile became even more scornful.
He could not help recalling the earlier conflict between several Genin from Sunagakure and Konoha.
After recalling it, his already scornful smile seemed to grow even more contemptuous.
"Even the remnant of the Uchiha Clan is only at that level."
Still sneering, he could not help adding.
His words brimmed with contempt.
"Zaku, you should still keep an eye on that Second Pillar."
Dosu, who had been resting with his eyes closed, turned toward the man assigned to his team for this mission and spoke in a low voice.
Though he did not think much of the Konoha ninja who had clashed with Sunagakure, he had at least heard something of the Uchiha Clan's reputation, unlike Zaku and Kin.
Still, it was a clan that had already been wiped out. What remained were merely rumors.
He did not think they posed much of a threat.
It was only that some details in those rumors made him a little more
