How did this feel...
The scene was somewhat familiar... yet it also seemed like the first time he had seen it.
In the darkness, Hada Ichiba watched the sight within the light spilling from the corner ahead, as though it divided darkness from light, and slowly furrowed his brow.
The warm smile that had appeared on his lips at some point gradually faded.
It became a look of confusion.
The sight before him seemed to perplex him greatly.
At this moment, however, all that lay before him was the ordinary sight of the second floor. After all, this was an indoor passage leading down from the second floor. After turning a few corners, one would reach the dim room full of pillars where Kakashi had set up the sealing array. All he could see here was the second floor.
And the scene on the second floor was not unfamiliar either. It was merely a few people standing there, watching the battle below. None of them were strangers; they were the people who had just been standing beside him.
The only difference from before was that Anna was clutching Long Yan's arm, seemingly acting cute, while Long Yan appeared to be sulking. He had his arms folded and his head turned away from Anna, looking extremely angry.
Even so, this was merely a common sight ever since he had gotten to know the two children.
There was absolutely nothing that should have felt familiar about it.
Forget it!
Better not overthink it!
Soon, though, he dismissed the feeling. It was merely a sense of familiarity. It offered no help or meaning whatsoever to the current situation or his plan.
If he paid too much attention to something like this, it might instead have a detrimental effect on his plan.
