"Chirp... chirp..."
The occasional birdsong drifting in from outside the window, carrying the scent of blue skies and bright sunlight, softly echoed through the slightly dim, quiet living room.
"Swish!"
Then, in the darkness, the sound of curtains being drawn broke the silence.
A ray of brilliant sunlight streamed in. As the chirping birds grew louder, the entire living room seemed to brighten.
"Were you reading all night?"
Then, a woman's voice softly rang out.
"Mm... no."
As the female voice sounded, a slightly calm voice rose from the center of the living room.
"I just woke up early today."
Hada Ichiba, the source of that calm voice, slowly raised his head. He glanced at Hada Kazune, who was drawing the curtains on another window, gently set down the scroll in his hands, and continued.
"Is that so..."
After pulling open the curtains of another window, Hada Kazune looked outside at the sunlight, the beautiful scenery, and the faint sounds of people. She took a deep breath and responded.
Then, she turned around and sat opposite Hada Ichiba. Picking up the scroll he had set down, she asked again, "Is there a problem with the list of matchups for the third test that Konoha sent over?"
In the end, she brought the subject back to the scroll Hada Ichiba had been reading.
This scroll contained the information Konoha had delivered yesterday. After Yu Ze left, it had been sent to their doorstep.
There was nothing particularly significant in its contents. It was simply that, because they had left early, Konoha had sent them the tournament bracket.
Since they had left because of the disturbance and had not been present when the matchups were arranged, the bracket had been delivered to them once it was finalized.
It was merely standard procedure.
