The power was out at home... I decided to be a salted fish for the day and let my brain rest. This wasn't leave because of any urgent matter, so I'm asking for everyone's understanding. Chiba had already passed two million words. Among that batch of Hokage fanfics that rode the wave of the anime boom back then, it was probably the biggest salted fish of them all. Worst results, most words, and fully deserving of its title as the biggest salted fish.

But from another angle, this salted fish had actually persisted. Though it had never turned over, and probably never would, it had still made it this far.

All I have to say here is that one sentence I've repeated so many times: thank you all for your support over the years. Thank you to those friends who have fully subscribed and kept subscribing until now.

Truly, thank you! You were the reason I made it this far, and you gave me the confidence to keep writing.

Just like Chiba, among writers, I'm also a stubborn, sensitive, sometimes incredibly thin-skinned salted fish. But with you all here, I feel that someone is still reading what I write. In your eyes, Chiba isn't a salted fish. That is the source of my motivation and confidence to continue writing. I don't dare hope that we'll always walk this road together, but at this moment, we are walking side by side. Since I began writing, this was the first time I truly felt four words.

My path is not lonely!

My writing style definitely has flaws. But even if I remain a salted fish for a long time before I can produce a decent novel, I think I'll still uphold my current belief: books must be written with heart, and characters
