The words reached the ears of everyone present. The three captives stared in disbelief at Patient 9527, the lunatic they had treated as their boss.
At first, seeing how smartly he was dressed, they had thought he was some kind of wise man. But now... the guard squad members were all looking at the three of them as if they were idiots.
They were mortified! They wanted nothing more than to crawl into a crack in the ground. They could accept being captured, because that had been a necessary sacrifice. But now, they were questioning their own sanity. How had they been bewitched by that lunatic back then? Looking back on it, the scene was simply unbearable to remember.

The fire in the backyard was already out of control. The adjutant did everything he could to exercise his command ability, mobilizing the refugees to put out the flames... but it was like pouring a cup of water on a burning cartload of firewood.
The iron-barred gate was nearly unable to withstand the Dead Bodies' impacts. The four men bracing the gate against the pillars on either side had faces flushed red. The veins on their arms twisted like gnarled old roots, bulging high as their arms trembled slightly. Clearly, they would not be able to hold on for much longer!
