"Kid, I heard you had a big deal to discuss with us."
It was the next day. Natsuki Subaru sat atop the half-crippled skinny man and looked up at the sinister currency dealer in a hood.
Rather than answer his question, Natsuki Subaru asked the fat man and the short man behind him, "Is he the only one?"
"He's the one in charge of currency trading in the royal capital," explained the short man with the watermelon-shaped head.
"In charge?" Natsuki Subaru rose to his feet and dusted off the nonexistent dirt on his backside.
"You two drag him away first."
"Y-Yes, yes!" The fat man and the short man did not want to remain there another moment. They hoisted up the skinny man and ran out of the dark alley.
"Now then, let's talk business." Natsuki Subaru smiled.
"Five Saint Gold Coins for one low-grade controller. I wonder if I'm getting ripped off." Natsuki Subaru felt depressed. Just as he had guessed, this currency dealer was not the so-called kingpin of currency trading in the royal capital, though he did know quite a few "elite figures" in the business.
"Take me to see them." Natsuki Subaru ordered the hooded man.
"Yes, my master."
"Don't call me master outside."
The hooded man said nothing, as though waiting for Natsuki Subaru to decide.
"Call me Boss instead."
"Very well, Boss. Please follow me to the slums."
By the end of the day, Natsuki Subaru had practically taken control of every currency dealer in the royal capital. They would exchange Saint Gold Coins and gold coins for him at cost price.
Natsuki Subaru first gave the currency dealers the payment he had collected yesterday, exchanging it for a large number of gold coins, then converted those gold coins into transaction points.
