The hundred-meter-tall statue of the Goddess of Light remained the most eye-catching sight. Beneath it, however, a platform draped in red cloth had been erected.
Temple Knights stood guard nearby, leaving the many commoners no choice but to stand on tiptoe and peer inside.
Even the thieves who usually lurked about furtively in Goddess Plaza did not dare make a move so easily. The Temple Knights' eyes could instantly lock onto the filthy hand that had stolen something.
Do not ask how this thief knew. He had spent a hefty sum pulling strings and had only been released from Lugnica Prison yesterday.
