"Princess."
Lana, known as the Golden Princess, treated people kindly. Her delicate face was filled with smiles, and she did not look false in the slightest. Perhaps only the Golden Princess herself knew how long she had practiced before a mirror to perfect that standardized smile.
"Mm."
She nodded lightly in acknowledgment.
Old John did not dare straighten his bent back. His aged face creased into a chrysanthemum-like smile as he fawned, "Princess, you..."
"I'm just looking around. Continue your work. Don't mind me."
Old John glanced at the maid behind the Princess again, then hurriedly nodded in agreement.
Even so, how could Old John still have the mind to work? He focused all his attention on the Princess, ready to respond immediately should she need anything.
Members of the royal family generally read on the first two floors. Based on the preferences of the royals, Old John had placed all their favorite books in the easiest-to-reach locations.
The old king's preferred books were usually on the first floor, while those favored by the Golden Princess and the Second Prince were on the second and third floors.
As for the eldest prince...
Other than coming to the royal library to play hide-and-seek when he was little, he had not come even once after growing up.
In Old John's eyes, the eldest prince was an idiot. If the Kingdom of Re-Estize were handed to the Golden Princess, its rise would be just around the corner!
Unfortunately, she was the third princess, not the third prince.
At this rate, the throne would probably pass to the Second Prince. As for the interests of those great nobles within the kingdom, who knew? In any case, it had nothing to do with Old John.
Those were all conclusions Old John had drawn for himself.
