Harry felt his head buzz as his thoughts instantly turned to mush.
He remembered the image of Captain America he had seen in news reports and all kinds of promotional materials as a child—a superhero who symbolized justice, courage, and never backing down.
No matter what, he could not connect that radiant image with the Hydra Captain Fury claimed had betrayed them.
"This can't be... He's Captain America. He's been through so much, fought alongside the Avengers, and faced so many powerful enemies. How could he suddenly become like this?
"Could there be some misunderstanding? Maybe he was controlled, or perhaps someone is impersonating him?" Harry offered all sorts of guesses.
Nick Fury once again denied Harry's speculation, his tone grave.
"We wish that were the case too, but every sign points to this being his own will.
"His actions and words all show that he has completely sided with Hydra.
"He knows many of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s and the Avengers' secrets, and now he is using them against us, causing no small amount of trouble."
Harry fell silent again. He still found it hard to believe. Unless he had been affected by Mind Magic, Steve would never side with evil.
There had to be some other reason behind this!
So Harry asked, "Where are you? Let's talk face-to-face. There must be some hidden reason behind this!"
"Coulson and the others and I are in a secret base in New York. You should know where it is."
Contrary to what Nick Fury believed, Harry did not know the exact location of the secret base.
