Countless thick tentacles grew from its skin, writhing like enormous pythons. Their surfaces were covered in sticky fluid that gleamed with a chilling sheen under the light.
Even more striking was its head. It was relatively small, yet it possessed an enormous mouth filled with sharp, serrated teeth arranged in interlocking rows. Its eyes were dull and lifeless, but they radiated an icy ferocity.
This monster was none other than an Abilisk, capable of crossing dimensions and traveling to different Parallel Universes to devour energy!
As the colossal creature flew out of the wormhole and headed straight for Battery Plaza, Rocket Raccoon said grimly:
"Now this is gonna be fun!"
Facing the Abilisk charging straight at them, Drax made the first move. Like a crazed beast, he roared and rushed toward it.
His bulging arms rose high, sharp daggers gleaming coldly as they targeted the monster's thick tentacles.
The Abilisk reacted with incredible speed. A tentacle lashed out like lightning, whistling through the air. Drax showed no fear. He twisted aside, nimbly evading it, then used the momentum of his dodge to slam a fist into the tentacle with a dull thud. Yet the tentacle merely trembled before swinging again with astonishing force.
Meanwhile, Star-Lord's four-barreled Blaster Gun spat fire wildly, bullets streaking toward the Abilisk like meteors.
The bullets struck the monster's leather-tough hide, throwing up only showers of sparks and leaving shallow white marks. They could not inflict any real damage.
"This big bastard's hide is way too thick!" Star-Lord cursed as he moved nimbly across the plaza, dodging the Abilisk's attacks.
Rocket Raccoon's twin guns continuously spat fire.
He aimed at the Abilisk's eyes and pulled the trigger, plasma rounds shrieking through the air with blistering heat.
With a bang, a plasma round hit dead center. One
