After bidding farewell to Yoruichi Shihōin, Harry rounded a corner and arrived on the stone path leading to the Tenth Division.
Suddenly, he sensed a burst of Spiritual Pressure erupting from somewhere nearby.
He halted, narrowing his green eyes slightly as he focused on discerning the details of that Spiritual Pressure.
Amid the many strong and weak Spiritual Pressures, Harry's exceptional senses immediately locked onto that particular fluctuation.
That sluggish Spiritual Pressure should have belonged to Ikkaku Madarame, the Eleventh Division's Third Seat.
And Ikkaku, as Harry sensed him now, was so weak that it was as though half his strength had been drained away.
Right, Ikkaku Madarame's Spiritual Pressure had seemed to clash with Ichigo Kurosaki's earlier. Could Ikkaku Madarame have been defeated by Ichigo Kurosaki?
The characteristics of another Spiritual Pressure beside Ikkaku were equally distinct. It carried a sense of precise control. It was undoubtedly Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Captain of the Twelfth Division.
Beside Mayuri was a somewhat weaker yet equally cold Spiritual Pressure. It should have been his Lieutenant Captain, Nemu Kurotsuchi.
"Why would people from the Twelfth Division be hanging around Ikkaku Madarame at the Fourth Division relief station?" Harry muttered.
Mayuri had always treated the relief station merely as a place to observe experimental materials. Unless there was a special specimen capable of piquing his interest, he would never go to the Fourth Division. After all, his own division had more than enough members to serve as experimental consumables.
And Ikkaku Madarame was the troublesome Third Seat of the Eleventh Division. Without a good reason, Mayuri would never choose him as an experimental subject.
So why had Mayuri Kurotsuchi latched onto Ikkaku Madarame?
Harry immediately recalled Ikkaku Madarame's clash with Ichigo Kurosaki. Could Mayuri have intended to obtain information about Ichigo Kurosaki through Ikkaku?
