But this sight terrified everyone, because the Golden Snitch was flying very low, close to the ground.
Harry reached for the Golden Snitch and rapidly approached the ground as well, but he did not slow down in the slightest. Instead, he flew faster and faster.
All the Young Wizards present cried out in horror, "No, Harry, stop!"
"He's going to hit the ground!"
Seeing this, Madam Hooch wanted to intervene. If Harry hit the ground, he would likely be seriously injured—or even killed.

She looked to the side and saw Dumbledore wink at her. "Trust him!"
Amid everyone's cries of alarm, Harry successfully caught the Golden Snitch. He quickly twisted his body, wrenching his Flying Broomstick into two great spirals, and actually came to a complete stop just a hair above the ground!
Everyone cried out, "The Wronski Feint!"

The difficulty of this move lay in the sudden stop. Pulling to a halt at high speed was one of the hardest techniques in Quidditch.
Although Harry was not being pursued by Malfoy, he had successfully pulled to a sudden stop—and done so just as he was about to hit the ground. He had even managed to catch the Golden Snitch in the process!
This was even more difficult than an ordinary Wronski Feint. Even in official Quidditch matches, very few people could pull it off!
Yet today, right before
