What if... I tried another way?
Zhongli stroked his chin with one hand for a moment, then sat directly on the ground and sensed the power of the rocks within the earth.
He was trying to locate the essence within the underground rocks, then inject vast amounts of Geo Elemental Power into those precious stones, turning them into cornerstones capable of forming Sky Island before extracting them from the ground with his authority.
Elemental Perception spread out.
The vast, boundless earth stretched as far as the eye could see. It did contain traces of precious light, but those lights were dim and scattered far apart. It would be difficult to create a large number of usable cornerstones in a short time.
This path was viable, but terribly inefficient. If he wanted to build Sky Island this way, at Zhongli's current speed, it would take at least two hundred years—perhaps even longer!
However, Zhongli would grow stronger, and the time required would shorten accordingly. Even so, it was bound to be a long process.
Besides,
Zhongli could directly create rocks and constructs. In theory, he could simply create a Sky Island outright. But that was only in theory. In practice, the strength of the rock constructs Zhongli created was affected by his own power. He was not strong enough yet, and the constructs he made were not sufficient for Sky Island.
It was not feasible for now.
Therefore, finding high-grade vessels and injecting them with vast amounts of Geo Elemental Power was currently the only way to obtain Sky Island Cornerstones. Unless Zhongli became strong enough, he could not create them directly with rock constructs.
I'll make one cornerstone first!
Zhongli gathered a massive amount of Geo Elemental Power toward the nearest high-grade underground rock, using it to make the stone
