Chapter Summaries

Sengoku learned that King Neptune had captured Ace and Baroque Works and arranged for them to be sent to the surface, while Hody Jones and Vander Decken planned to attack Dragon Palace City during the transfer. Xia Qiu learned of the coming attack and planned to kill the conspirators and possibly eat Shirahoshi.

• Brandnew told Sengoku that King Neptune had captured Ace and Baroque Works, and Sengoku assigned Kizaru and Doflamingo to receive them while monitoring Whitebeard.
• Nami told Ace and the others they would leave Fish-Man Island the next morning and outlined how they would cooperate with the coming attack.
• Hody Jones and Vander Decken agreed to attack Dragon Palace City during Ace's transfer, with Hachi tasked to rescue Ace and Vander Decken planning to throw human pirates into the palace.
• Vander Decken revealed his plan to use the Target-Target Fruit to hurl the pirates toward Shirahoshi, while Hody Jones threatened them into obeying.

Human pirates and rebels converged on Dragon Palace City, where Hody Jones allied with Vander Decken and declared war on King Neptune. After Hody killed English and ordered an attack, Xia Qiu ambushed him, killed him, and began eating his corpse.

• King Neptune sent Prince Fanche and reinforcements to defend Princess Shirahoshi’s tower after reports of human pirate attacks.

Xia Qiu escaped the Super Large Sea Kings and left Fish-Man Island with his companions. As they headed toward the surface, he learned Whitebeard was coming to meet him over Ace’s departure from the Whitebeard Pirates.

• Xia Qiu convinced the Super Large Sea Kings that he was not Shirahoshi’s attacker, then fled with Shirahoshi as they decided to return and await the promised day.
• Xia Qiu told Shirahoshi he was leaving Fish-Man Island, and she followed him to the waiting vessel, where Neptune and the others had prepared supplies and a New World Eternal Pose.

• Alken’s Punch Gun shattered Monet’s ice-blade wings, but Monet transformed into a giant snow bird-woman and trapped him in snow.

• Aokiji told Sengoku and Sakazuki that Zala and Vivi had been Baroque Works members and were heading to the New World to attack Big Mom with a neural agent.
• Sengoku and Sakazuki discussed whether the attack was a Whitebeard Pirates scheme and decided to investigate Big Mom’s weakness before acting.

Xia Qiu revealed that the alliance’s ultimate targets were Doflamingo and Kaido, and the group traveled to a deserted island in the Calm Belt to assess everyone’s abilities. After the crew fought off Sea Kings on the way, Ace used his flames to drive off the island’s beasts and provide food.

• Xia Qiu and Sabo told Law and the others that their plan was to defeat Doflamingo and then Kaido, while the Revolutionary Army aimed to liberate Dressrosa and bring Wano Country into its ranks.
