War's move left the gods somewhat stunned. Even the Arbiter's phantom seemed to stiffen for a moment.
They all knew that the mask called "Sin" was somewhat special. Sequence Weapons were all things "corrupted" by divine power—though from their perspective, that was called a blessing.
Yet it had always been impossible to tell which god this mask belonged to. In any case, it was extremely sinister, and they suspected it was also connected to Pain.
They also knew that every form of this mask could "overload."
That line from him—"You'll definitely help me"—had clearly been intended to make the Arbiter act and force out that form.
Thus, they unanimously felt that this guy had been given far too much leeway.
The original plan was canceled. Since they were going to exploit the game's loopholes as much as possible, they might as well exploit them to the very end.
They would send out as many gods as possible, with each one using a Nail of the Fallen God. They would simply crush him with overwhelming combat power and nail him to death.
Sending out seven gods, plus an Arbiter, just to kill one person did look rather disgraceful. But this guy had caused far too many problems, and they wanted to settle everything once and for all.
Even Death had come along, all to ensure that the needle inside his body could not be of much use at a critical moment.
But who could have expected War to switch the target of the Nail of the Fallen God because of a single sentence from a mortal at a time like this?!
What did that mean? Didn't that mean there was one less nail?
Killing that guy wasn't such a high priority, was it? Couldn't War deal with him personally later?
