That afternoon, the sun blazed overhead. Ang stood at the edge of the training grounds in the center of the camp, one hand resting on Flame Punishment at his waist as he silently observed the sparring between the Flame Swordsmen and Enchanted Knights.
Dust billowed through the air amid waves of battle cries. Blazing Fire Swords gleamed white-hot beneath the sun, and every slash seemed to scatter sparks.
Ang nodded slightly. The warriors were already far stronger than they had been several months ago. Especially after their equipment upgrades, their coordination had grown increasingly seamless.
Just then, a sweat-drenched soldier hurried over and stopped before him, his voice somewhat urgent. "My lord, a group of female warriors has arrived outside. They say they want to see you."
"Female warriors?" Ang frowned slightly. "Did they say which unit they came from?"
"I asked, but they refused to say. They only told me to pass this on—you'll know once you go out and see for yourself."
Ang pondered for a moment, then waved his hand. "Come on. Take me to them."
A few minutes later, he arrived at the camp gates. The moment he came to a stop, he heard hoofbeats drawing closer from afar.
Ahead, dust rolled through the air as more than a hundred cavalrymen halted outside the camp in neat formation.
They rode glossy black Black Scale Warhorses and wore Enchanted Armament of various styles. Each of them had half-helmets covering their faces, their bearing valiant and imposing.
When Ang appeared, the leader of the cavalry rode forward, swiftly dismounted, and pulled off her helmet, revealing a familiar face.
"Janice?" Ang blurted out in surprise.
"Viscount Ange." Janice stepped forward, unable to suppress the smile in her eyes. "We were ordered to come reinforce the Northern Frontline."
