The two rode on the back of a Singing Serpent, slowly crossing the low hills at the edge of the plains beneath the glow of the setting sun.

The Singing Serpent's massive body writhed and slid across the grass. With an occasional leap, it could soar more than ten meters through the air. The wind howled, and its scales gleamed with a faint bluish-yellow sheen in the sunlight.

Dana gripped the reins tightly and looked at Ang with some uncertainty.

"Ang, now that we've confirmed that Lizardman Legend is dead, are we still returning to Amnath City?"

Ang fell silent for a moment, his gaze settling on the distant land gradually dyed red by the evening clouds. He said quietly, "Not for now. With the Legend dead, the threat in this region has greatly diminished... Besides, I still need to fulfill my agreement with House Hall."

After thinking it over, Dana's eyes gradually brightened. "Right, we still need to claim land. This place has abundant water, a mild climate, and lies close to the outskirts of Volgograd. It's well suited for grazing and farming."

Ang nodded, his gaze steady. "Since there are no other forces on this land now, it should belong to us. We paid the price, so we ought to reap some rewards."

After returning to camp, Ang gathered everyone and formally announced the news.

Janice was the first to step forward, her tone resolute. "We should take this land. It would make all our bloody fighting these past days worthwhile."

Once the news spread, morale in the camp immediately surged.

Retreat had originally been a foregone conclusion, but this sudden turn rekindled everyone's fighting spirit.

After most people had left, Ang kept Maya, Janice, and Margherita behind.

"Commander, do you have a mission for us?" Maya asked
