With the end of the Battle of Volgograd, the Empire swiftly issued an announcement that shook the entire Archipelago Plane—the Tasmania Continent would be jointly governed and developed by the Empire and the Lizardmen.

As soon as the news spread, it caused a tremendous stir among both the noble circles of the mainland and the nobles of the Archipelago Plane.

Many people could hardly believe that the Lizardmen, who had once fought the Empire to the bitter end, would become the Empire's partners.

Before the notice board in the military camp, Dana stared at the freshly posted announcement, his brows tightly furrowed and his expression somewhat dazed.

He could not help muttering, "Ang... has the war with the Lizardmen... ended just like that?"

"For now, it has." Ang's voice came from behind him. He patted Dana on the shoulder, his gaze likewise falling upon the announcement.

Dana turned around and continued in confusion, "Then... what about the area where the World Tree is located? That's the Lizardmen's holy land. Has the Empire really given it up?"

"The Empire did not occupy that region." Ang shook his head, his calm tone carrying a hint of deeper meaning. "According to the agreement, it still belongs to the Lizardmen."

Dana fell silent, his gaze turning complicated.

He knew that land was valuable for far more than its geographical position at the center of the continent. It was also home to the ancient and mysterious World Tree.

Ang seemed to see through his thoughts and patted him on the back. "Stop thinking about things that have nothing to do with us for now. What matters most is preparing for the God-Demon Battlefield."
