After flipping through several pages of the materials in her hand, Margherita suddenly looked up. Her gaze swept over Ang's desk as she asked casually, "Are you looking for a Level 4 earth-element magical beast?"
Ang gave a grunt, his eyes never leaving the document in his hands.
"What do you need a Level 4 earth-element magical beast for?" Margherita continued.
Only then did Ang look up. His gaze fell on her face as he raised a brow. "What, do you care that much about this?"
"I'm just curious." Margherita blinked and leaned against the desk. "You've gone through so many leads without finding a definite target, and your expression just now already gave it away—you care a lot about this, don't you?"
Ang stared at her, surprise showing in his eyes. "I didn't expect you to be so observant. You seem rather different from the impression I had of you."
"Of course." Margherita smiled and straightened her back. "There are plenty of ways I'm different from what you think."
"Oh? Such as?" The corner of Ang's mouth curled up as his gaze casually traveled over her from head to toe, his tone gaining a hint of amusement.
Margherita noticed his gaze and felt a faint sense of pride.
A thought flashed through her mind. She suddenly stepped forward and swiftly took off her knee-length skirt, leaving only a pair of close-fitting shorts.
"Do I look good?" She lifted her chin toward Ang, her tone holding a trace of provocation.
Ang had been lowering his head to read through the files. Hearing her words, he froze for a moment and instinctively looked up, taking in the entire sight before him.
Once he came to his senses, he hurriedly raised a hand to cover his eyes, his voice rushed and awkward.
