Ang stayed on the beach for nearly half a month. During that time, he adjusted to and adapted to his post-breakthrough physical and mental state while planning the next leg of his journey. He could finally begin formally crafting his own Enchanted Armament, but he still lacked a flying magical beast. Thus, after setting out again, he began paying particular attention to the magical beasts around him, especially those capable of flight.
His efforts paid off. One morning, Ang followed the coastline to an enormous cliff. Standing at its edge, he was deeply shaken by the sight before him—the place where the azure sky met the sea was filled with a flock of fire-red Flamingos soaring through the air, radiating scorching heat. These magical beasts had slender bodies, feathers as vivid as burning flames, and every beat of their wings stirred waves of searing air.
Flamingos were rare fire-element flying magical beasts that usually inhabited coastal cliffs or isolated ocean islands. Though they were fire-element beasts, they primarily roamed the sea, feeding on fish and other aquatic magical beasts and occasionally hunting land-dwelling ones. Ang had long heard of their strength. Adult Flamingos, in particular, could rival level-five magical beasts or even stronger ones. His current targets, however, were the level-three Flamingos that had yet to fully mature and were relatively weaker.
Ang concealed himself by the cliff and observed them for an entire day. He discovered that this was a gathering place for Flamingos, with at least a dozen living there. Several of them radiated exceptionally powerful auras, clearly having reached level four or higher. Ang silently raised his guard. He knew that, with his current strength, confronting those powerful Flamingos head-on would be no different from seeking death.
Ang lay in wait by the cliff for several days,
