Ang returned to the cabin, and Quintina immediately came forward, asking urgently, "Did you find out anything?"
Ang shook his head slightly, a trace of gravity between his brows. "No. The crew said everything was fine and told us to wait patiently."
Quintina frowned after hearing that, clearly dissatisfied with the answer. However, since the airship crew had taken no further measures, they could only remain in the cabin and observe the situation.
Just as the two waited silently, the airship gave a slight shudder, and the lights in the room swayed gently.
Ang and Quintina exchanged a look. Both sensed that this was no ordinary turbulence. Ang immediately walked to the window and looked outside through the glass.
A pale blue energy barrier slowly emerged, enveloping the entire airship. Its light flickered faintly, and ripples spread across its surface.
"The airship's magic shield has activated," Ang said in a low voice, his eyes fixed on the view outside.
The magic shield was used to resist external attacks and harsh weather. Once activated, it meant the airship had entered a defensive state.
However, before Ang could relax, he saw the flock of White-headed Black Sparrows circling outside suddenly launch an attack!
"They're going to force their way through the shield!" Quintina cried out.
Countless White-headed Black Sparrows shrieked as they charged at the shield. Their razor-sharp feather blades scraped across its surface, stirring waves of magical ripples. Their pointed beaks pecked frantically at the barrier, and they even slammed into it with their wings, trying to tear through the defensive screen.
Although the shield held them back for the moment, every impact caused visible tremors across its surface, and its magical glow became increasingly unstable.
Ang's expression darkened. "We need to go take a look!"
He immediately left the cabin
