Ang, Linya, and Dana had infiltrated the Lizardmen tribe for half a month, gradually figuring out their way of life and battle tactics.
Every day, they followed the Lizardmen hunting parties as they slaughtered Magical Beasts across the land, witnessing the Lizardmen's strength and strict organization.
The Lizardmen had clear divisions of labor. Ordinary warriors were responsible for hunting low-level Magical Beasts, while Lizardman Great Warriors surrounded powerful Magical Beasts in squads.
They excelled at coordinated combat. Three or four Lizardman Great Warriors could easily kill a Level 4 Magical Beast.
As time passed, the Magical Beasts in the region were nearly hunted to extinction. Vast amounts of beast meat were dried into jerky in preparation for the coming long march.
Finally, at the sound of a hoarse horn, the Lizardmen tribe began a large-scale migration.
Their destination was the distant south—the Litchfield Plains, where Fortress of Will stood.
After following the Lizardmen for three days, Ang had basically confirmed the intelligence: these Lizardmen had been summoned by a legendary powerhouse and were steadily joining up with other tribes, eventually forming a massive army bound for the southern battlefield.
As night fell, the three gathered during a lapse in the patrols.
"Linya, Dana, you two should withdraw first," Ang said quietly, his gaze steady. "They aren't simply migrating. They're heading south to reinforce the battlefield."
"No way..." Linya frowned. "They don't look like an army along the way. Isn't this just a migration between tribes?"
"It has been confirmed." Ang nodded. "They'll join up with other Lizardmen tribes along the way and eventually form an army that may exceed a million."
Linya was shocked at his words, her face turning slightly pale.
If an army of a million Lizardmen soldiers attacked Fortress of Will, it would bring an unprecedented catastrophe
