Barn's stone house was far too cramped, and the lingering warmth of burnt wheat paste still hung in the air.

Dana frowned as she looked around the narrow room. "Ang, it's too small in here. Let's go outside."

"Alright." Ang nodded.

The four of them left the stone house. Dana looked around and finally stopped in front of a dilapidated stone building. Its roof had collapsed, leaving only two walls, but at least it could block others' view.

"This will do. It's enough." Dana casually patted the wall.

Ang took out a Fire Gathering Rune Board and gave it a light tap. A steady flame sprang up.

Then he took some magical beast meat from his Magic Waist Pouch and handed it to Dana.

Dana skillfully set the meat over the fire, the corners of her lips curling upward. She was clearly looking forward to roasting it.

Linya crouched nearby, studying the white-stemmed mushrooms in her hands.

The mushrooms were white as snow and gave off a faint fruity scent. They were a common fungus in the dwarves' underground world.

She picked one up and sniffed it, asking doubtfully, "Why does this mushroom smell like fruit? Will it even taste good?"

"It tastes better pan-fried," Ang reminded her.

"Fruit-scented mushrooms? Are they really good fried?" Linya was still unconvinced.

"Just listen to Ang." Dana smiled. "He knows more about food than any of us."

Linya shrugged and stopped arguing.

She poured a layer of oil onto a stone slab and placed the white-stemmed mushrooms on it. Before long, a unique fragrance drifted through the air, like cream mixed with fruit, making their mouths water.

Barn stood to the side, watching the three of them busy themselves. His expression was somewhat awkward. He was clearly unaccustomed to such a leisurely moment.
