Everyone present watched the Magic Teleportation Array bloom with intertwined deep blue and emerald light, each wearing a different expression.
Some were awed, some curious, and some secretly wary, but without exception, all were drawn to the light that surged like a star-filled sky.
Ang swept his gaze over everyone and said in a deep voice, "Next, we only need to wait for Dulin to return."
The dwarf elders exchanged looks and nodded.
Though they had accepted Ang's abilities, they still held some reservations about this kind of magic that crossed space.
Ang immediately began setting up a magical shield array around the teleportation array.
His hands moved rapidly, rune-light spreading outward like ripples. Before long, a visible energy barrier formed around the teleportation array, enveloping the entire formation.
"This is to prevent anyone from taking the opportunity to sabotage it." As he explained, Ang began arranging guard stations with Dana and Linya, preparing for a long watch.
The Dwarf Great Elder watched this, nodded, rose from his seat, and turned to the four warriors accompanying him. "You stay behind and help guard the teleportation array."
Seeing this, the other four elders each left behind one attendant as well.
A moment later, only Ang's group of three, several dwarf warriors, and the endlessly flickering magic array remained in the Dwarf Sacred Hall.
"How long do we have to guard it?" Dana asked, leaning against a stone pillar.
"At least five or six days," Ang replied.
"That's not too bad. I'm curious where Dulin will run off to over the next few days." Dana grinned and shrugged.
Ang tilted his head with a smile and teased, "What, do you want to visit Amnath too?"
"I do, but I need to stay by your side." Dana chuckled.
