Ange pondered for a moment and decided not to tell the students the truth for now. If they learned the truth, panic might spread and become difficult to control. What they needed now was unity and high morale. Thus, Ange interrupted the conversation among the Brigade Leaders and said sternly, "Since you have accepted your new identities, I will hold you to military standards."
He continued, "We need to establish a series of rules and regulations. First and foremost is obedience to orders." Ange explained the requirements in detail and instructed each Brigade Leader to relay them to their members.
Then Ange continued, "Do you know what we will encounter next?"
Mallory, the captain of the First Brigade, stepped forward and said, "I heard at the academy that evil ghosts have appeared in Latvia. We should be here to scout out the enemy." The other four Brigade Leaders nodded in agreement.
Ange asked again, "Are you afraid of evil ghosts?"

Ange did not contradict them. He merely said calmly, "Since you all know the situation, I assume you have prepared yourselves mentally. But before we begin scouting, we must first arm ourselves."
With that, Ange sent someone to summon Burke. Before long, Burke arrived at the council hall. Ange asked directly, "Burke, where are our equipment and supplies?"
Burke answered crisply, "Lord Ange, the supplies are all in the warehouse."
Ange immediately said to Mallory, "Mallory, gather the First Brigade and come with me to the warehouse. We'll transport the military supplies back to the garrison. Every one of us must be properly equipped before we can proceed with the next step."
Mallory hurried off to the barracks to gather people, while Ange and the other Brigade Leaders followed Burke to the supply
