As soon as Ang returned to the ward, Gesang came up to him, her eyes full of anticipation. "My lord, did you find a solution?"
Ang nodded, his grave expression carrying a tentative certainty. "I have some leads, but whether they will work still needs to be tested."
With that, he went to the corner of the room and began taking out the materials he had prepared.
The others gathered around and watched as he pulled out a small pile of Glow Crystals and obsidian from his Magic Waist Pouch. The magical materials gave off a soft, mysterious glow beneath the lamplight.
Ang first ground the two minerals into extremely fine powder separately, then mixed them with birch sap, stirring them into a nearly gelatinous semi-solid magical material.
"Obsidian stabilizes souls, Glow Crystal draws light... birch sap is mild and conductive..." he muttered as he worked, as though reinforcing the theory he had deduced.
Then he began laying out a massive magic array on the ward floor—its structure was intricate, its lines delicate, with a light-drawing ring carved at its center and thirteen small rune nodes embedded around its perimeter.
The entire magic array spread outward in a radial pattern like the sun, resembling a silent, profound altar.
"This isn't an ordinary Holy Light Magic array, is it?" Gesang asked softly.
Ang nodded. "It is a Universal Amplification Magic Array. Its core amplification property depends on the materials used. This time, I chose the Holy Light attribute. It can effectively strengthen Holy Light Power and thereby purify the power of dark sacrifice on the Gold Wacks..."
In truth, Ang only knew two Holy Light spells so far. One was the Holy Light Technique he had learned from a Magic Book at the Magic Academy.
The other was a Light Bullet.
