After both grew stronger, they traveled to Tagor Desert to pursue the Green Lotus Core Flame and investigate a mysterious scroll, ending in Shimo City as Wei Yang prepared to search for a way into the Underground Lava Lake.

• Wei Yang reached Dou Practitioner after years of cultivation, chose the Crimson Flame Art, and later traveled to Green Mountain Town in search of opportunities.
• Wei Yang found a hidden cliff cave containing rare herbs, the Seven-Colored Poison Classic, Wings of the Eagle, Mad Lion's Roar, and Mad Lion Blazing Flame Art, then discovered a Storage Ring and maps to other flames.
• Wei Yang returned to Green Mountain Town and rescued Xiao Yi Xian from mercenaries, then invited her to become his assistant and took her back toward Wu Tan City.
• When Mu Li and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group attacked them, Wei Yang killed Mu Li, Mu She, and the group’s other mercenaries, then brought Ye Xian'er to live with him.
• Wei Yang recognized Ye Xian'er's Body of Calamitous Poison and explained the Poison Pill Method, while reassuring her that he would help her control it.
• Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er grew stronger over the following months, and Wei Yang eventually took her to Tagor Desert to search for the Green Lotus Core Flame.
• Wei Yang killed the Snake People who threatened Ye Xian'er, hired Aini to guide them to Shimo City, and traded cultivation methods and Dou Techniques for the Black Iron Scroll.
• In Shimo City, Wei Yang recognized Hai Bodong at an Ancient Map shop, bought desert maps, and planned to search for the Two-Headed Fire Spirit Snake and the Underground Lava Lake.

Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er found the Green Lotus Core Flame, gathered alchemy resources, and built a partnership with the Xiao Family while Wei Yang investigated Xiao Yan's condition. The arc left Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er settled in a hidden valley, where Xian'er broke through to the Dou Ling Realm.

• Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er searched beneath the Tagor Desert, found the magma lake, and captured the Two-Headed Fire Spirit Snake to lead them to the Green Lotus Core Flame.
• Wei Yang collected the Green Lotus Core Flame, its seeds, and two Lava Core Flame Sub-Flames, then used the seeds to advance his cultivation and help Ye Xian'er transform her Dou Qi.
• Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er traveled to Black Rock City and stole Gute's treasures, including the Ice Spirit Cold Spring, pill formulas, and alchemy books.
• Back in Wu Tan City, Wei Yang and Ye Xian'er studied alchemy and refined Grade 1 Pills before Wei Yang arranged a long-term sales and supply partnership with the Xiao Family.

Wei Yang returned to Wu Tan City, confronted Elder Yao about Xiao Yan, and traded the Green Lotus Core Flame for cultivation techniques, alchemist knowledge, and valuable intelligence. After reaching Dou Wang and helping Xian'er advance, he gathered the Na Ling and set out with her plans for the Tagor Desert.

• Xian'er reached Dou Spirit and controlled her poison leakage while she and Wei Yang cultivated, made pills, and studied herbs in the Small Valley.
• Wei Yang returned to the Xiao Family, witnessed Nalan Yanran break her engagement with Xiao Yan, and later exposed Elder Yao as the one who had absorbed Xiao Yan's Dou Qi.
• Wei Yang and Elder Yao discussed Xian'er's Body of Calamitous Poison, exchanged the Poison Pill Method and Soul Nurturing Liquid, and agreed that Elder Yao would remain with Xiao Yan.
• Wei Yang reached Dou Wang, and Xian'er followed him into the realm before he met Elder Yao to trade the Green Lotus Core Flame for the Great Sun Burning Heaven Art and other resources.
• Wei Yang gave Elder Yao information about the Fallen Heart Flame and Han Feng's Sea Heart Flame, received further techniques, and agreed to protect Xiao Yan during the Three-Year Agreement.
• Wei Yang returned to the Small Valley with new techniques and a peak Seventh Grade alchemist's inheritance, and he and Xian'er planned to go to the Magma World in the Tagor Desert.
• Wei Yang refined a High-Grade Dou Spirit Pill, then traded an Ordinary Quality Dou Spirit Pill and a Purple Heart Barrier Breaking Pill for two Na Ling before flying toward the Tagor Desert.

Wei Yang found and refined the Black Sun Heavenly Flame, transforming his cultivation technique and advancing to Seven-star Dou Wang. He awakened Qing Lin’s Jade-Green Snake Three-Flower Pupils and set out with her and Xian’er to find the Wind Fury Dragon Flame.

• Wei Yang met Qing Lin in Mo City, recognized her Jade-Green Snake Three-Flower Pupils, and brought her to Xian’er in the Underground Lava World.
• Wei Yang, Xian’er, and Qing Lin crossed the desert, fought a powerful King Cobra, and reached a dark basin where a young Black Sun Heavenly Flame floated.
• Wei Yang subdued the Black Sun and later refined its source, surviving the process as his cultivation technique evolved into the Heaven Tier Black Sun Burning Heaven Art and he advanced to Seven-star Dou Wang.
• The King Cobra tracked the group, but Wei Yang and Xian’er defeated it and brought Qing Lin face-to-face with the beast to awaken her pupils.
• Qing Lin awakened her Jade-Green Snake Three-Flower Pupils and subdued the King Cobra, which she named Big Eye.
• After Big Eye recovered, it led Wei Yang, Xian’er, and Qing Lin to a vast sandstorm where Wei Yang sensed the Wind Fury Dragon Flame and ordered Big Eye inside.
