The Tang God King had reincarnated to cultivate anew? What the hell?
"Yiya, yiya."
After being reborn as an abandoned infant, the Tang God King had barely opened his eyes when he saw his father's familiar ugly face. Tears of happiness immediately welled up in the corners of his eyes.
He knew he had been reborn at the very beginning. He was still his father's son! Everything in the future would be rewritten by him, the pure and immaculate Tang God King!
However, when he saw that Tang Hao was holding another baby in his arms, his entire body—no, his entire baby self—instantly froze.
I'm not my father's son?
Yet before he could react, Tang Hao had already carried him into Holy Soul Village.
Fu Ye was completely dumbfounded when he saw this. Two Tang Sans? Was this really that exciting?
Would a second Xiao Wu appear too? Why was he actually looking forward to it a little?
But none of that mattered. Even if a God King personally descended into the mortal realm, he would not be afraid. It was merely a Tang San reborn with the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record; Fu Ye did not take him seriously at all.
Still, this made things interesting. With two Tang Sans competing on the same stage, who would ultimately be the winner?
If that was the case, some plans would have to be carried out ahead of schedule.
Sunset Forest was the turning point in Tang San's life. Even though Fu Ye had no need for those things whatsoever, he would rather feed them to dogs than let Tang San and the others use them.
With that thought, Fu Ye vanished from where he stood.
Elsewhere, Sunset Forest.
Sunset Forest covered a vast area. As far as the eye could see, endless trees stretched onward like a green ocean.
Towering trees stood skyward, their luxuriant branches and leaves interwoven, making the forest's interior especially deep and secluded. Sunlight struggled to fully penetrate the layers of foliage, leaving the forest dim and filled with a quiet, mysterious atmosphere.
Fu Ye stood in the sky, looking down at the vegetation below. This place was different from Star Dou Great Forest, yet not entirely different either.
The terrain within Sunset Forest rose and fell unpredictably. There were low valleys that might conceal tranquil pools or babbling streams; there were also raised hills, where the trees grew even more densely. The forest might also contain steep cliffs and crisscrossing ravines, providing all sorts of places for soul beasts and people entering the forest to hide and move about.
"As expected of Sunset Forest. Although it isn't as enormous as Star Dou, it is still a very vast soul beast forest ecosystem."
Fu Ye gradually descended into it.
A faint mist permeated the forest. Even from high above, it still seemed shrouded in mystery. Unknown beast roars and bird calls occasionally echoed through the silent woods; timid people would probably be frightened out of their wits.
Fu Ye knew that deep within Sunset Forest lay a miraculous place—the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
As for the fierce poisonous miasma, it could not invade his body in the slightest. Fu Ye simply strolled right in.
Feeling the air around him turn alternately cold and hot, Fu Ye knew he was not far from passing through the poisonous miasma and reaching the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
When the reborn Tang San discovered that all the immortal herbs in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well had vanished without a trace, he would probably stomp his feet in panic.
The moment he stepped inside, Fu Ye sensed the dense fluctuations of ice and fire energy here. However, that little bit of energy could not affect him at all.
According to the introduction in Douluo Continent's third installment, Dragon King Legend, what lay buried underground should have been the corpses of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King. Yet that setting seemed absent during the Dou 1 and Dou 2 stages.
Those two Dragon King corpses were probably like the Silver Dragon King and the Ten Great Ferocious Beasts—impossible to find even if he turned the place upside down.
After all, Dou 1, Dou 2, Dou 3, and Dou 4 were four parallel worlds. As for Dou 5? It might as well be renamed Tang San's Legend in the Divine Lan Realm.
On one side was the scorching, boiling Yang Spring, constantly releasing steam and baking the surrounding rocks red; on the other was the bone-chilling Extreme Cold Yin Spring, whose waters emitted threads of cold air and coated the nearby vegetation in a thin layer of frost.
The two extreme springs existed side by side, creating a unique landscape and nurturing many rare immortal herbs.
Fu Ye paced around twice, then packed up every immortal herb and poisonous plant without leaving a single one behind. King of Hell's Summons was still ridiculously overpowered; they said even a Titled Douluo would die upon encountering it.
"Lovesick Heartbreak Red? Pack it up!"
"Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass? Pack it up!"
"Infernal Delicate Apricot? Pack it up!"
"It's actually a Golden Dragon Sweet Potato! Pack it up!"
Just as he had completely cleaned out the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, a sweet, delicate voice came from nearby.
"Who are you? What are you doing in my family's Herb Garden?!"
Hm? What was that?
Turning toward the source of the voice, he found a delicate little girl, her jet-black hair, round eyes, and exquisite little face making her look exceptionally adorable.
Fu Ye had already plucked the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well completely clean, and he walked straight toward the little girl.
"Don't come any closer!"
The delicate little girl seemed frightened by Fu Ye. In her mind, this was her home. Shouldn't a thief run away in fear after being caught by the owner?
Seeing this young man walk toward her, she would have been lying if she said she was not afraid.
Fu Ye did not stop because of her words. In the end, the little girl backed against a large rock, her little face full of panic.
"My grandfather is a Titled Douluo. If you hurt me, my grandfather will—"
Seeing Fu Ye arrive right before her, the little girl immediately curled herself up against the rock.
A Titled Douluo? She must be Dugu Bo's granddaughter, Dugu Yan.
However, unlike in the original work, her hair was not emerald green but a very healthy black. That was probably because she had only just awakened her Martial Soul.
Fu Ye sensed her Soul Power. She had just reached level ten. Dugu Bo was likely absent because he had gone to find Dugu Yan her first soul ring.
He had not come into contact with that old poisoner too early. Of course, none of that mattered.
"Come on. I'll take you to eat some melon."
Fu Ye grabbed Dugu Yan by the back of her collar and held her up in his hand like a chick.
"Bad guy! Let go! Let go of me! My grandfather is a Titled Douluo! When he comes back and finds you, you'll be in big trouble!"
("▔□▔)
Sure enough, the little girl's childish words sounded furious, yet her puffed-up appearance was simply adorable.
Fu Ye fully agreed with Dugu Yan's words. Given Dugu Bo's personality, he really might attack him. But the main issue was that Dugu Bo was not even strong enough to match one of his fingers.
Immortal herbs were completely useless to him. He had come here early to take them only because he did not want to leave them for Tang San. Dugu Yan and Dugu Bo had guarded these immortal herbs for so long; even if they had no merit, they had worked hard. Thus, he intended to give this grandfather-granddaughter pair two immortal herbs suitable for them.
After all, he was not Tang San, eating from the bowl while eyeing the pot, then smashing the pot after eating and selling it for money.
He had obtained no fewer than twenty immortal herbs from here, yet Tang San had only recognized a few in the original work? Fu Ye definitely did not believe that.
Awesome!
