Ch. 261The Second Lecture; Hongjun Appoints Officials!

Hongjun held his second sermon at Zixiao Palace, teaching the Heavenly Dao and the path of Severing the Three Corpses as cultivators advanced toward Quasi-Saint. After a thousand years, he ended the sermon and prepared to appoint officials.

  • The Witch Clan grew to one billion members and divided into twelve tribes, while the Witch and Demon Clans increasingly divided the Primordial world between them.
  • Three thousand years later, cultivators gathered at Zixiao Palace for Hongjun’s second sermon, while Lu Shiping stayed away at Zhou Jun’s instruction and Houtu did not attend.
  • Hongjun taught the Heavenly Dao and explained the path of Severing the Three Corpses in detail.
  • Laozi, Yuanshi, Tongtian, Nuwa, Zhunti, and Jieyin broke through to Quasi-Saint, followed by dozens of other cultivators.
  • After a thousand years, Hongjun stopped preaching and declared the sermon over.

Ch. 262The Primordial World Is in an Uproar; Winds of Change Are Rising!

Hongjun appointed East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West to lead the immortals, provoking envy and resentment among the powerful figures of the Primordial World. Di Jun and Taiyi decided to wait and see, planning for the demon race to ignore the new leaders and use any clash as grounds to punish them.

  • Hongjun answered the cultivators’ questions, then appointed East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West to govern the immortals.
  • Hongjun gave East King Duke a Dragon-Head Cane and Queen Mother of the West a Pure Water Bowl, warning them not to disturb the Primordial World.
  • Di Jun and Taiyi considered Hongjun’s warning as they watched East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West accept their appointments.
  • After Hongjun ended the preaching, powerful figures returned to the Primordial World and began plotting or acting independently amid resentment toward the new leaders.
  • At the Demon Emperor Palace, Di Jun told Taiyi to have the demon race ignore East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West, leaving them leaders in name unless they provoked the demons.

Ch. 263The Campaign Against Dongwanggong / The Witches and Demons Become Enemies

East King Duke used Hongjun’s decree to subdue independent cultivators, then provoked the demon race and was attacked by Di Jun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng. His Purple Mansion forces were wiped out, and the badly wounded East King Duke faced their final assault.

  • Queen Mother of the West established the Jade Pool Grand Meeting, while East King Duke created the Purple Mansion and demanded that male immortals register.
  • East King Duke forcibly subdued independent cultivators and killed those who resisted, while Queen Mother of the West kept her distance from his plans.
  • Di Jun directed the demon race to oppose East King Duke and waited until his actions brought heavy Karma and heavenly warnings.
  • Di Jun and Taiyi led demons and aggrieved cultivators to burn the Purple Mansion’s main gate and demand an explanation from East King Duke.
  • Di Jun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng attacked East King Duke as the demon army overwhelmed his forces, leaving him badly wounded and facing their final strike.

Ch. 264The Great War Between Witches and Demons!

After East King Duke died in his self-destruction, the demon race grew increasingly domineering, and repeated clashes with the Witch Clan escalated into the Witch-Demon Great War. A failed agreement deepened the two races’ hatred, and the Twelve Ancestral Witches gathered as another Great Witch fell.

  • East King Duke detonated himself, destroying the Purple Mansion and dying despite Di Jun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng surviving the blast behind the Twelve-Rank Merit Golden Lotus.
  • Queen Mother of the West withdrew to Western Kunlun, while Di Jun and Taiyi left her alone and the demon race became more arrogant.
  • Clashes between the Witch Clan and demon race escalated from minor disputes to deaths among powerful cultivators, forcing both sides’ leaders to negotiate.
  • Di Jun, Taiyi, and the Twelve Ancestral Witches agreed that the demon race would withdraw from Witch Clan territory and that the Witches would stop deliberately killing intelligent demon beasts.
  • The agreement unraveled as the Witch Clan expanded and hunted unintelligent demon beasts, worsening resentment until both sides prepared for open conflict.
  • Gonggong told the gathered Twelve Ancestral Witches that another Great Witch had fallen and angrily condemned the demon race.

Ch. 265The Twelve Celestial Gods’ Fiendish Formation! Pangu’s True Form! / Hongjun Intervenes! The Witches Rule the Land, the Demons Rule the Sky!

The Witch and Demon Clans fought their long-awaited decisive battle beneath Buzhou Mountain, but the Twelve Ancestral Witches turned the tide by forming Pangu True Body. As Pangu True Body unleashed a Saint-level strike against the Demon leaders, the chapter ended with them facing apparent defeat.

  • A hundred years after agreeing to a decisive battle, the Witch and Demon Clans met beneath Buzhou Mountain and began fighting.
  • Di Jun, Taiyi, Nuwa, Fuxi, and Kunpeng fought the Twelve Ancestral Witches while the clans’ forces battled below.
  • Kunpeng held back Dijiang without fighting at full strength, and the clashes across the battlefield became deadlocked.
  • Dijiang called on the other eleven Ancestral Witches to form the Twelve Celestial Gods and Demons Formation, summoning Pangu True Body.
  • Pangu True Body attacked Di Jun, Taiyi, and the others with a strike said to rival a Saint’s full-force blow, leaving the Demon leaders despairing.

Ch. 266Zhou Jun Devises a Plan to Obtain the Primordial Purple Qi and Merit!

Hongjun intervened in the Witch-Demon war, forcing both clans into a ten-thousand-year truce. On Penglai Island, Zhou Jun decided to enter seclusion to pursue the Heavenly Dao Realm and summoned Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon to give them instructions.

  • Hongjun shattered the Pangu True Body with a palm strike, injuring the Twelve Ancestral Witches and saving Di Jun, Taiyi, and the Demon Clan.
  • Hongjun decreed that the Demon Clan would rule the heavens and the Witch Clan would govern the earth, and that neither side could wage war for ten thousand years.
  • The Twelve Ancestral Witches withdrew to Pangu Hall, while Di Jun and Taiyi gathered the Demon Clan to clear the battlefield.
  • The Witch and Demon Clans observed an uneasy peace, exchanging insults and cold stares without fighting.
  • Zhou Jun judged that Hongjun was nearing the Peak Saint realm and resolved to enter seclusion to reach the Heavenly Dao Realm before the coming war between the two worlds.
  • Zhou Jun summoned Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon and began explaining what they should do while he was in seclusion.

Ch. 267The Heavenly Court Is Established

Zhou Jun instructed Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon about future opportunities, disciples, and merits before entering seclusion to pursue the Heavenly Dao Realm. Meanwhile, Di Jun and Taiyi discovered the Heavenly Court, claimed it for the demon race, and prepared a celebration as they secretly planned to use its Great Zhou Heavenly Star Formation against the Witch Clan.

  • Zhou Jun told Lu Shiping to follow Hong Yun after Hongjun's third Preaching of the Dao and seize the Primordial Violet Qi if Hong Yun self-destructed, while Candle Dragon was to assist only if Hongjun intervened.
  • Zhou Jun named Kong Xuan, Duobao, Lu Ya, and Xuandu as possible second-generation disciples and advised Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon to seek merit from Nuwa, Houtu, and the repair of Buzhou Mountain.
  • Zhou Jun told Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon to strengthen the Space-Time Realm before he vanished into closed-door cultivation to pursue a breakthrough to the Heavenly Dao Realm.
  • After Hongjun divided the demon race's and Witch Clan's domains, demon soldiers found a fading Formation on Buzhou Mountain and discovered the Heavenly Court behind it.
  • Di Jun and Taiyi explored the Heavenly Court, found its thirty-three heavens and the Great Zhou Heavenly Star Formation, and secretly resolved to use the Formation against the Witch Clan.
  • The demon race moved into the Heavenly Court, while Fuxi, Nuwa, and Kunpeng arranged a celebration and Di Jun and Taiyi personally invited the Primordial World's great experts.

Ch. 268The Sainthood Positions Are Assigned; Zhunti and Jieyin Get Tricked!

Di Jun and Tai Yi established the Heavenly Court and gained enough merit to become Two-Corpse Quasi-Saints. At Hongjun’s final Preaching of the Dao, he began assigning Saint Seats, naming the Three Pure Ones and then Nuwa as disciples.

  • Di Jun and Tai Yi offered sacrifices to Heaven and Earth and swore an oath to establish the Heavenly Court, receiving merit that let them become Two-Corpse Quasi-Saints.
  • Nuwa, Fuxi, Kunpeng, and the demons received the remaining merit, and the gathered great powers later departed from the celebration.
  • Lu Shiping and the other cultivators gathered at Zixiao Palace for Hongjun’s third and final Preaching of the Dao.
  • Hongjun preached the path of Saints for a thousand years, which most of the audience struggled to understand.

  • Hongjun asked Nuwa whether she was willing to become his disciple.

Ch. 269Thinking of Zhou Jun, Hongjun Sheds Tears of Poverty While Distributing Treasures

Hongjun assigned the remaining Saint positions, transferred the West’s karmic burden to Zhunti and Jieyin, and distributed treasures to his disciples. He left Zhunti and Jieyin waiting for gifts, having run short of powerful treasures because Zhou Jun had claimed so many.

  • Hongjun accepted Zhunti and Jieyin as registered disciples, granted them Primordial Violet Qi, and transferred the West’s immense karmic burden to them.
  • Hongjun tossed the final strand of Primordial Violet Qi into the sky, and it entered Hong Yun’s primordial spirit as Kunpeng glared at him with hatred.
  • Hongjun gave Laozi the Precious Lotus Lantern, Yuanshi the Demon Suppressing Pagoda, and Tongtian the Four Immortal-Slaying Swords and their formation diagram.
  • Tongtian celebrated the formation’s power while Laozi and Yuanshi grew wary and jealous, and Hongjun was pleased to see discord among the Three Pure Ones.
  • Hongjun gave Nuwa the Red Embroidered Ball but had no Supreme Grade Innate Spiritual Treasures left for Zhunti and Jieyin, who began hinting that they needed protection.

Ch. 270Hongjun Merges with the Dao / Hongyun Self-Detonates

  • Hongjun gave Zhunti and Jieyin the Blessing Vajra Pestle and the Glazed Pagoda, while the Three Thousand Guests of Zixiao asked him for treasures.
  • Hongjun sent the cultivators to divide the treasures on the Treasure Distribution Rock, and Lu Shiping collected hundreds of treasures before taking the rock itself.
  • The Three Thousand Guests of Zixiao and the leading powers divided the remaining treasures and returned to Zixiao Palace.
  • Hongjun announced that he would integrate with the Dao because the Heavenly Dao was incomplete, and said he would no longer appear except during a great calamity.
  • Hongjun merged with the Wheels of Heavenly Dao, and Zixiao Palace vanished into the chaos.

Ch. 271Nuwa Visits Penglai!

  • Kunpeng confronted Hong Yun and demanded his Primordial Violet Qi, then attacked when Hong Yun refused.
  • Di Jun and Taiyi joined Kunpeng, trapping Hong Yun and blocking his escape with the River Diagram Luo Shu and Twelve-Rank Merit Golden Lotus.
  • Hong Yun fought back with his Nine-Nine Soul Scattering Gourd, then detonated his physical body when he realized he could not escape.
  • Hong Yun's spirit fled in the gourd toward Wuzhuang Temple, but Minghe stopped it with karma fire and declared the Primordial Violet Qi his.

Ch. 272Nuwa’s Purpose in Coming; Zhulong Gets Jealous

After Hong Yun destroyed himself, Lu Shiping obtained the Primordial Violet Qi and became a Saint. Nuwa set out for Penglai to seek her opportunity and arrived at its three islands.

  • Minghe tried to claim the Primordial Violet Qi, but Hong Yun self-destructed his primordial spirit, destroying the gourd and making the qi disappear from the battlefield.
  • Lu Shiping seized the passing Primordial Violet Qi, returned to Penglai, and became a Saint after Candle Dragon concealed the heavenly secrets.
  • Hongjun sensed Lu Shiping's ascension and accepted that the violet qi had gone to him.
  • Zhen Yuanzi mourned Hong Yun and vowed enmity toward Di Jun, Taiyi, Kunpeng, and Minghe, while Zhunti and Jieyin rejoiced that Hong Yun's karmic debt was gone.
  • Nuwa decided to leave Buzhou Mountain, travel the Primordial World, and visit Penglai; she arrived at its three islands.

Ch. 273Nuwa Creates Humanity!

Nuwa visited Penglai to thank Zhou Jun for helping her awaken her spiritual intelligence, but learned that he was in seclusion. After Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon agreed to pass along her gratitude, Nuwa asked Lu Shiping for another favor.

  • Nuwa called out to Penglai after failing to find a way through its protective formation.
  • Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon welcomed Nuwa and revealed their Saint-level auras, shocking her.
  • Nuwa explained that she had come to repay the expert who had once preached the Dao on Buzhou Mountain.
  • Lu Shiping told Nuwa that the expert was their master, Dao Venerable Zhou Jun, who was in seclusion.
  • Candle Dragon coldly urged Nuwa to leave, while Lu Shiping reassured her that they would convey her message to Zhou Jun.
  • Nuwa thanked Lu Shiping and began to ask him for another favor.

Ch. 274Guiding the Human Race Earns Merit

Nuwa learned that her Heaven-ordained merit lay in creation, and Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon lent her the Nine Heavens Breath Soil and Gourd Vine before the Heavenly Dao stopped them from revealing more. After creating the human race on Buzhou Mountain, Nuwa gained enough merit to become a Saint and announced her new title and Dao Field.

  • Lu Shiping and Candle Dragon told Nuwa her merit lay in creation, then lent her the Nine Heavens Breath Soil and Gourd Vine before the Heavenly Dao warned them to stop.

Ch. 275Laozi Establishes His Sect; Everyone Becomes a Saint

  • Laozi lived among the humans, recognized their enduring fate, and concluded that his chance to become a Saint lay with them.
  • Laozi established the Human Teachings and became a Saint after receiving Heavenly Dao merit.
  • Yuanshi established the Chan Teachings and Tongtian established the Interception Sect, and both became Saints.

  • Zhunti and Jieyin wondered what they should do after failing to become Saints.

Ch. 277The Three Pure Ones Split Up

Zhunti and Jieyin became Saints by making forty-eight great vows, while Minghe failed to attain Sainthood despite creating the Asura Race and establishing the Asura Teachings. The Saints then began founding their sects and accepting disciples, and Kunlun Mountain drew crowds as the Three Pure Ones took different approaches to choosing followers.

  • Zhunti and Jieyin broke away from the Mystic Gate and made forty-eight vows to the Heavenly Dao, gaining enough merit to become Saints.
