Background / History
Tang San’s early advantages stem from techniques learned in a previous life at the Tang Sect, including the Mysterious Jade Hand, Purple Demon Eye, and hidden-weapon throwing methods. His potential is further defined by his Twin Martial Souls and, later, the Eight Spider Lances. However, opportunities that would have strengthened him—particularly Immortal Herbs and a Blue Silver bloodline awakening—are intercepted by Su He. 32 65
After Xiao Wu is abducted, Tang San unsuccessfully attacks Su He with Sleeve Arrows and is injured. He resolves to grow stronger, find Su He, and avenge Xiao Wu. Grandmaster Yu Xiaogang reinforces Tang San’s confidence by calling his second martial soul his greatest asset. 67 68
Tang San later develops an increasingly hostile rivalry with Su He. He attacks Su He at Shrek Academy, suffers severe injuries, offers the Zhuge Crossbow blueprint as an attempted apology, and is humiliated when Su He tears it apart. These incidents intensify Tang San’s determination to kill him. 155 162 168
Following Tang Hao’s death, Tang San receives aid from a blood-red-robed figure, who has his necrotic arm severed and reshaped into the blood-red Asura Demonic Arm. Tang San also gains the Eight Spider Lances after killing a Man Faced Demon Spider, though he conceals the encounter from Yu Xiaogang. 175 176
His pursuit of strength becomes increasingly destructive. He uses the Eight Spider Lances to drain Soul Beast energy, considers using them against human Soul Masters, and develops killing intent that corrupts his Blue Silver Grass. The Blue Silver King rejects him from the Blue Silver Forest because of this corruption. 183 218 228
On Sea God Island, the Sea God’s baptism purifies Tang San, awakens his Blue Silver Emperor, and accelerates his advancement through the divine trials. Although his Slaughter Poison is cleansed, his hatred toward Martial Soul Hall and Su He remains unchanged. 254 286 287
Appearance
After the Sea God’s baptism, Tang San’s formerly messy dark-blue hair becomes bright blue, while his appearance becomes cleaner and more handsome. 254
- His hair later becomes dark blue during the seventh Sea God trial. 293
- His Blue Silver Grass bears blue-and-gold coloration, but black killing-intent energy once dimmed it and gave it a sinister aura. 228
- His Asura Demonic Arm is blood-red after being reshaped by the blood-red-robed figure. 175
- His Eight Spider Lances extend from his back and can make him resemble a humanoid Man Faced Demon Spider. 183 218
Personality
Tang San is intensely protective of those close to him. He attempts to defend both Yu Xiaogang and Xiao Wu against Su He despite the overwhelming difference in power. 67
His defining motivation becomes revenge against Su He and Martial Soul Hall after Xiao Wu’s abduction and Tang Hao’s death. This fixation repeatedly drives him toward reckless decisions, including indiscriminate Soul Beast slaughter, consideration of absorbing human Soul Masters, and sacrificing his reason for greater compatibility with Asura Divine Power. 68 183 218 132
He can also be tactically composed in battle. During the Spirit Master Tournament, he controls his temper, coordinates with his teammates, exploits his opponents’ overconfidence, and helps break Xie Yue and Hu Liena’s Demoness fusion. 234 235
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possesses the Blue Silver Grass/Blue Silver Emperor and the Clear Sky Hammer, a talent Yu Xiaogang considers exceptionally rare. 68 234
- The Clear Sky Hammer is his power-focused martial soul and is used for direct assault techniques. 236
- The Blue Silver Emperor is capable of awakening further, but its potential is damaged by Tang San’s choice to attach relatively low-aged rings to it. 236 254
- His Blue Silver Grass becomes corrupted by accumulated killing intent after he absorbs Soul Beast energy. 228
