"Why does your bald head always seem shinier than mine?"
"How do you shave it?"
Wang Ye curiously reached out and touched Maitreya's enormous bald head, even rubbing it a few times.
Mainly because it was gleaming right in front of him. It was genuinely hard to resist.
Maitreya's body stiffened. "They could come back at any time. Let's stop chatting."
"My psychic power is covering us. They can't hear."
Wang Ye looked utterly unconcerned, as though he were particularly eager to talk.
Maitreya fell silent.
After a while, he turned around and stared at Wang Ye. "I just don't want to talk to you anymore. Do I really have to put it that bluntly?"
Wang Ye curled his lips and said nothing more, but his gaze remained fixed on Maitreya's bald head, giving the distinct impression that he might launch a sneak attack at any moment.
Maitreya felt utterly dead inside and could only force himself not to look at this guy.
"I just remembered something. You got so many bodhisattvas and Buddhas of Spirit Mountain killed. Once you take over Spirit Mountain, what are you going to do?"
"Wouldn't you just be taking over an empty shell?"
Wang Ye still could not help asking.
Maitreya said nothing.
But Wang Ye kept poking at him from behind.
"I won't be taking over Spirit Mountain. Becoming stronger is only for self-preservation."
He muttered gloomily.
Wang Ye seemed thoughtful, a glint flashing through his eyes. "Oh, is that so?"
The atmosphere fell silent again.
Maitreya kept his eyes on the courtyard gate, hoping someone would return. He did not care even if it meant a fight—one that was dangerous and vicious.
Nothing was more painful than chatting with Wang Ye.

Slow footsteps came from outside the gate.
"Don't move, someone's
