A great battle began quickly and ended just as quickly.
No one felt any joy at victory. Instead, everyone methodically went about the tasks they were supposed to handle.

Wang Ye turned to Meng Po and said with a smile, "Long time no see."
Meng Po sighed.
"Yeah. It's been several months since we last met."

Meng Po deliberately emphasized those words.
"Let's talk."
The smile on Wang Ye's face gradually faded, and his tone became somewhat more serious.
Meng Po looked at Wang Ye's expression and said wistfully, "Sigh, the child has grown up, his wings have hardened, and now he has no respect at all for an old woman like me."
"I still remember when you were two. You were asleep in bed and just peed yourself."

Meng Po quietly let out a breath of relief and regained her elegant demeanor. "Fine. It has been a long time since we had a proper chat."
"Let's go to my place."
As she spoke, Meng Po turned and left with practiced familiarity, returning to her own grocery store.
"What are we going to talk about?"
Meng Po dragged out a rocking chair and reclined in it. She let out a satisfied breath, as though she had found the feeling of the past again.
