Meanwhile, a few minutes later, near General Lane's command vehicle.

Nearly eighty ninjas surrounded General Lane and the remaining sixteen soldiers, watching them coldly.

Meeting the ninjas' gazes, General Lane gritted his teeth and pressed his hand against a red button on the side of the rear compartment.

"I don't care who you are. If you dare take another step closer, I'll destroy everything here and leave you with nothing!"

"Come on, bastards! Let's see who dares move another inch!"

"Damn it! You somehow got behind me without me noticing. Someone at my side must have betrayed me!"

As he spoke, General Lane kept himself ready to press the detonator at any moment.

When that happened, the command vehicle and half the surrounding block would all be destroyed!

Though it would cost him his own life as well, he had already lost the daughter he loved most. What else did he have to fear losing?

Beside him, hearing the general's words, the soldiers couldn't help exchanging looks.

"Quit looking at each other, men. The person who betrayed me knows too many secrets. He can't be one of you. At the very least, he must be one of my political enemies, or perhaps a competitor of LexCorp."

"In any case, gentlemen, if things get out of control, then you'll have no choice but to die alongside this old man!"
