"Okay, deal!" Emily happily stepped forward and grabbed Luo Tian's hand.
Luo Tian: "..."
"Hey, Emily, you can borrow him tomorrow. Today, he's my boyfriend." Bulma pulled Emily's hand away.
"Fine, but you have to keep your word." Emily did not object.
Luo Tian silently wiped away sweat.
These little brats had really defeated him.
He was a god destined to become an angel, yet here he was, being fought over as a pet by two little girls in kindergarten?
Wasn't that going too far?
"Bulma, when did you get a boyfriend behind my back? How come I didn't know?" Emily blinked curiously, then looked Luo Tian over and added, "But your boyfriend really is handsome. He's even more handsome than my cousin's boyfriend."
"What do you mean, I got a boyfriend behind your back?" Bulma snorted, clearly disagreeing with that wording.
"You said you'd marry me when you grew up." Emily looked a little upset.
"You're a girl, and I'm a girl. We can't get married." Bulma shook her head.
"Sometimes love can transcend gender." Emily argued confidently.
Luo Tian wiped away sweat again.
These kindergarten kids had really defeated him.
Was that something a kindergarten brat should be saying?
Luo Tian decided to strike back a little.
You girls have completely thrown me off rhythm.
"Luo Tian, which kindergarten do you go to?" Emily asked curiously.
"Me? I never went to kindergarten." Luo Tian shook his head.
Emily froze for a moment, then shook her head in disbelief. "That's impossible. How could you not have gone to kindergarten? Who doesn't go to kindergarten these days?"
"Hehe, Luo Tian came from another planet. Forget kindergarten—even elementary school and middle school don't exist where he's from." Bulma giggled and explained from the side.
"From another planet? Are you an alien?" Emily was even more astonished.
"You really do understand me." Luo Tian nodded. "That's right. I came from another planet, at least tens of billions of light-years away from Earth."
"Huh? Tens of billions of light-years?" Emily's little mouth fell open wide enough to fit an egg.
A brief silence followed.
"Bulma, tell me, how long are tens of billions of light-years?" Emily turned and asked Bulma.
Luo Tian: "..."
"You're so dumb. A light-year is a unit of distance, not time." Bulma huffed. "Tens of billions of light-years means the distance light travels in tens of billions of years. The speed of light is currently the fastest speed we know of. It can travel 300,000 kilometers in one second."
"Huh? I don't really understand, but it sounds really far..." Emily scratched her head. "It should be farther than from our house to the Southern Hemisphere."
"Hmph, you're so uncultured." Bulma did not want to bother with Emily anymore. She turned to Luo Tian and asked, "Luo Tian, your planet is so far from Earth. Does that mean your technology is really advanced?"
"Mm-hm." Luo Tian nodded.
"But why did you come to our planet?" Emily asked again.
"I came here to travel. How does that saying go? Reading ten thousand books is not as good as traveling ten thousand miles. That's the idea." Luo Tian replied. "So I really feel sorry for you Earthlings. Why do you spend all day going to school? And you have endless homework."
"Isn't that the truth? But it's okay. Bulma and I are about to graduate from kindergarten, so we won't have to do homework anymore." Emily let out a small sigh of relief and swayed her little head.
"Don't celebrate too soon. I heard that on Earth, kindergarten is just for play. Elementary school is when real studies begin. Especially once you get to middle school—there's tons of homework, and lots of subjects too. Physics, chemistry, biology, geography, science, and so on. That homework... you won't finish it before midnight." Luo Tian let out a long sigh. "And that's only middle school. Once you get to high school... tsk, tsk... I'd better not say more. I'm afraid it'll be too much for you."
Emily: "..."
Bulma: "..."
The two little girls exchanged a glance, then immediately looked back at Luo Tian.
"Who told you that?" Emily and Bulma asked at the same time.
"I'm an alien. Of course I know everything. If you don't believe me, you can ask around." Luo Tian lowered his voice and whispered to them.
After saying that, Luo Tian paused for a moment.
"Oh, right. If you ask around, ask middle school students or something. Don't ask your parents, because your parents won't tell you the truth." Luo Tian added.
Emily and Bulma looked at each other. Their childish faces were filled with grievance and fear for their future lives.
"Is what he said true... Bulma?" Emily looked like she was about to cry.
"It seems to be true..." Bulma thought for a moment and nodded seriously. "My sister always seems to have endless homework. She can't even go out and play before vacation starts..."
"We've got it good. Look, I'm only five, and I'm already out traveling." Luo Tian sighed.
"Waaah!"
Emily could no longer hold it in. She burst into loud tears on the spot, immediately drawing the attention of the entire class.
The teacher also looked over at Emily curiously.
"Emily, what's wrong?" the teacher came over and asked with concern.
"Waaah... sob, sob... He said we'll have even more homework in elementary school and middle school..." Emily cried even harder.
Teacher: "..."
For a moment, the teacher did not know how to comfort her.
Because he was absolutely right.
Quite a few students heard what Emily said. Many of them were affected and began bawling along with her.
The whole classroom was filled with crying.
Bulma did not cry.
"You're really something. It was supposed to be a nice graduation ceremony... and you made everyone in our class cry." Bulma glared at Luo Tian.
"I was only telling the truth." Luo Tian sighed softly.
"Waaah, waaah..." Bulma suddenly started crying too.
"Why are you crying?" Luo Tian asked. "You haven't even shed any tears."
"Do you think I have a choice? Everyone in class is crying. They'll think I made them cry, and then the teacher will scold me again." Bulma pouted and muttered quietly.
"You're graduating soon. Why are you still afraid of your teacher?" Luo Tian asked.
"That actually makes a lot of sense..." Bulma thought about it carefully and agreed.
The teacher spent a long time soothing them. Just as one child stopped crying, another started, leaving her flustered and overwhelmed.
"Teacher, teacher, he says he's an alien." Emily sniffled a few times and raised her hand to report him.
At once, all the children stopped crying and focused their gazes on Luo Tian.
