"The game was over." His voice was as soft as a whisper.
The silver scissors drew four elegant yet cruel arcs beneath the moonlight, none of them intersecting.
There were no screams, no struggles.
Their figures dissipated into the air, leaving behind only wisps of black smoke that were soon scattered by the night wind.
[Sin Cleansing Successful!] [Overall Rating: A-Class] [Cleansing Points Obtained: 50]
With a flick of his wrist, the Scissors of Truth turned into a tattoo and vanished.
Qin Feng glanced at the numbers flashing on the system panel, his expression utterly calm, as though he had merely swatted four buzzing mosquitoes to death.
As those few E-Class minor weird tales perished, the entire "Doll Island" underwent a strange transformation.
The colorful neon lights crackled and all went out.
The cheerful music-box melody turned into piercing metallic screeching before falling into dead silence.
The carousel horses slumped in all directions, their bodies covered in moss and mold;
The pirate ship was overgrown with vines, leaving behind only a rusted skeleton;
The Ferris wheel in the distance stood motionless beneath the night sky, like a gigantic, silent wheel of steel and bone.
The entire amusement park finally revealed its truest, most dilapidated appearance after more than a decade of abandonment.
The only place where lights still shone was the small Gothic-style castle at the very heart of the park.
A faint, flickering red glow seeped from a second-floor window of the castle, like an eye peering through the darkness.
All the lingering resentment flowed slowly toward that castle like rivers returning to the sea.
"Finally found the real boss." Qin Feng rolled his neck, producing a crisp crack.
He pulled out a bottle of soda from his pocket, twisted it open, gulped down a mouthful, then let out a loud burp.
"Tsk, the warm-up was over. Time to meet today's VIP client."
Humming a tuneless little song, he headed toward the gloomy castle with steps as light as if he were going to a party.
The castle doors stood slightly ajar. Teddy bears and rabbits were carved into them, but each carving had only half a face.
Qin Feng pushed the door open, and a thick stench mixed with the smell of blood rushed toward him.
The castle was not very large inside. It resembled an enormous children's room.
Yellowed cartoon wallpaper covered the walls, while all sorts of toys lay scattered across the floor: a teddy bear missing an eye, a Barbie doll with a broken leg, and a wooden horse gently rocking alone in the corner.
"Creak... creak..."
The only sounds in the room were the rocking of the wooden horse and the faint humming of a girl. The tune was innocent and cheerful, yet it made one's scalp tingle.
Qin Feng looked around, curled his lip, and spoke in a voice that was not loud but clearly shattered the eerie silence.
"This interior design is trying way too hard. One-star review.
The standard 'haunted children's room' template. Zero creativity.
And this BGM—can't you pick something else?
You've practically worn out Little White Boat."
As soon as he finished speaking, the humming abruptly stopped.
The rocking horse in the corner also came to a halt with a creak.
The entire castle fell into deathly silence.
A bone-chilling malice poured down from the staircase on the second floor. It carried tangible pressure, making the air turn thick and sticky. The animal eyes on the cartoon wallpaper began to ooze viscous black fluid.
Yet Qin Feng acted as though he felt nothing. He walked up to the wooden horse and flicked one of its chipped ears with a finger.
"And these toys need to be cleared out too.
Too much dust breeds bacteria. It's bad for children's respiratory systems.
Have you paid the property management fee? With hygiene this awful, I ought to file a complaint."
"You..." A cold child's voice, filled with grievance and fury, came from the stairs.
Qin Feng looked up and saw a little girl in a red dress standing barefoot and silently at the bend of the staircase.
She looked only seven or eight years old. Her skin was as pale as porcelain, and her disproportionately large black eyes stared fixedly at Qin Feng. There was none of a child's innocence in them—only a dead, empty void.
The instant his gaze met the little girl's, the system notification suddenly rang out!

"Oh? So you're the big boss around here?" Qin Feng looked at her with a friendly smile, like a big brother from next door paying a visit.
The Little Girl in Red tilted her head. "The smell on you... is unpleasant. Unlike my friends, they were very obedient."
"You mean those temporary workers with over-the-top acting and subpar professional skills?" Qin Feng said as if it were only natural. "Of course I let them go. They were seriously damaging the customer experience. Keeping them around would only ruin your amusement park's reputation."
"You...!" The air around the little girl's body began to warp, and all the eyes bleeding black blood from the cartoon wallpaper turned toward Qin Feng in unison.
"Quit with the 'you, you, you.'" Qin Feng cut her off, slowly pulling an Alpen lollipop from his pocket. He tore off the wrapper and waved it before her.
"Big brother came today to bring you some warmth." His tone was as gentle as if he were coaxing his own little sister. "But candy is only for good children."
He paused, his eyes turning playful as he pointed at the mess around them.
"Look at you. You've made this place a complete disaster.
You don't clean up, you let your employees slack off, and you scare the guests.
That isn't what a good child should do."
"I want you... to play with me!" The Little Girl in Red finally ran out of patience and let out an inhuman shriek!
The entire castle shook violently. The toys scattered across the floor seemed to come alive, clicking and clacking as they rose from the ground one by one.
The one-eyed teddy bear brandished its claws, while cracks split across the Barbie dolls' faces, exposing the bottomless black abyss within.
With stiff movements, they closed in on Qin Feng from every direction.
A powerful mental pressure descended, trying to stir up the deepest loneliness in Qin Feng's heart—the feeling of being abandoned by the world—and the despairing terror of facing countless monsters.
However, Qin Feng merely swept his gaze over those "living" toys before looking back at the little girl as though she were an idiot.
"That's it?" He popped the lollipop into his mouth and gave a muffled assessment. "The game rules are way too cliché.
"Toy Story? Little sister, that IP went stale ages ago. You should try something new."
"I can play with you." A cruel, dangerous curve formed at Qin Feng's lips. "But we'll do it by my rules."
He held up two fingers.
"First, we're not playing hide-and-seek. We're playing 'violent demolition.'"
"Second..." His gaze suddenly turned icy, as though he were examining something about to be cleansed. "The loser gets locked in a little dark room forever."
The instant he finished speaking, he stopped wasting words. The scissors tattoo on his right arm suddenly lit up with a blinding silver glow!
At the same time, the tattoo of an old-fashioned rotary telephone on his left wrist began to emit a sinister chill, as though it came from the abyss!
He looked at the little girl, whose face had twisted with rage. With the lollipop in his mouth, his smile was as brilliant as a demon's.
"Come on, little sister. Pick one."
"Do you want to be cut into pieces first, or would you rather listen first... to the 'bedtime story' I prepared for you?"
