Earth-700, New York, beneath Brooklyn.
Peter—our protagonist—only remembered the rough outline of the plot of Spider-Verse. But after crossing into this universe, he had almost immediately pinned down the timeline—Miles had not been bitten yet.
Because New York had just suffered its second earthquake. In other words, this was only the second time Kingpin of this universe had activated the collider. At this point in the original story, Spider-Gwen from Earth-65 had only just arrived, and due to the effects of the multiverse collider, she had traveled back to a week earlier.
Which meant that this universe's Peter Parker should have only just created the key to stop the collider and had not taken action yet.
After checking out the high schools around Brooklyn, Peter successfully found Visions Academy, where Miles attended school. But he did not find Gwen Spider, who should have crossed over in the original story and disguised herself as a high school student.
"This is good news. It means the multiverse collider didn't explode seven days from now, and they didn't cross over—or maybe I succeeded." Crawling along the top of a Brooklyn subway maintenance passage, Peter finally found his destination.
"And somehow... this all looks really familiar."
The upside-down Spider-Man followed the subway tracks to an abandoned underground subway control station. A spacious passageway was tightly sealed by a door with an electronic lock. Beyond it lay a corridor piled with construction debris, its walls covered in all kinds of street graffiti. The glass cover above had already shattered, exposing the metal framework underneath.
Without a doubt, this was where Miles of this universe had been bitten. And judging by the timeline, he should not have been bitten yet.
Fortunately, Peter had brought some money. He could buy a small box specifically for holding reptiles.
